#SentToShare
“``Why do we go? Because Christ commands us to go. Why do we go? Because Christ has entrusted and he has commissioned people like you and me, everyday ordinary people, to share and to show the gospel and the good news. Why do we go? Because Christ has promised to continue his work through you. It doesn't have to be you. It's him calling people nearer to him. So as the worship team comes forward this morning, we close our time together Like this propagated plant, we carry a life within us that did not life that did not originate within us. We have received the light and the life of Christ, and now Christ wants his life to become visible through us wherever it is. He clips and propagates and plants us. So here's my challenge for us this week.”

#SavedAndSent
“You see, because we were never meant to like just receive the gospel, which is a gift. We can receive the gospel. We were never meant to receive the gospel, to receive the good news, to get our ticket into heaven, and then to find a church that's got really comfortable chairs, by the way. Right? And sit there. We're not the saved and the sinners, but we're the saved and we're the sent. We're the people of God who get up and who go and who move and who serve and who love. The gospel was never meant to be received and then concealed within us, but it is meant to be received and it is meant to grow and it is meant to go beyond us.”

#Matthew28Mandate
“Jesus has commanded the people of God to go. It is no bargaining tool. Jesus wasn't like this in in Matthew 28. Okay. Look, guys. I redeemed you from death. Do you think once in a blue moon, you can go to 711 and tell somebody about Jesus? Could you do that at least? It's not what Jesus does. Jesus in Matthew chapter 28, he says, go. This is an imperative. This is not a suggestion. It's not a recommendation, but this is a command of Jesus. Jesus is commanding those early believers and you and I by association that we are a people who go.”

#EverydayMissionaries
“Every conversation we have, every argument that we're a part of, the holy spirit's in us, sometimes calling us to control our words, every interaction at the grocery store, every interaction at school or at work. You see, what we are is we're everyday ordinary missionaries. We don't have to go to some wild field somewhere else, but right here, Christ continues his work in and through you for the sake of people around you so they too can experience the compassion and the life that God has for each one of us.”

#MissionThroughEveryone
“And what Jesus does is he entrusts to us, the church, his kingdom mission, and he says that he will do his work through us. Through broken people, through tired people, through poor people, through rich people, through people who don't think they belong, through people who look different, who act different, who vote different, who think different. Through ordinary individuals like you and me, Jesus promises to continue his work through us. The beautiful tapestry of the church that God puts his presence into, and then he allows us and he plants us in particular places to display and to share and to show his glory.”

#DiscipleMakingMatters
“The Greek word translated in verse 19 there, make disciples And it means more than like a sharing of information. It means more than like just a a decision for following Jesus. It means more than convincing someone to agree with us. It means helping someone to become a learner whose life is becoming formed to the way of Jesus. disciple making call is the central and central command to this passage that Jesus says in in chapter 28. And it's not just go and do some good things, but it's helping people to learn to follow and to look like Jesus.”

#GodThroughYou
“We see thirdly and finally this morning, asking the question of why do we go? Well, we go because Christ continues his work through us. I kinda remember when we were praying about coming to Reedsport. I remember thinking like, Lord, can I do this? I still ask that question a lot. Can I do this? And I don't remember who I was talking to. I might've been talking to a buddy of mine named Justin. And Justin said, not me. Not I'm not I'm not that crazy. Another friend of mine who who really exists, and his name is Justin. And he's like, no. You can't. he says, but God through you can. it's really elementary, but there's so much truth in that statement. What Jesus does in Matthew chapter 28 is Jesus says, lo, I'm with you always even to the very end of the age. He promises his power and his presence.”

#InviteWithIntent
“As you think about where God's planted, you want to think about who are the people that you interact with regularly in that space? Is it the cashier? Is it the clerk behind the counter selling you a coffee and a cookie you probably don't need, but I'm gonna gobble it up? Right? Is it someone at work, an employer, coworker, a boss? and where has God planted and put before you? And I wanna challenge you this week to take a step towards them in Jesus' name. Invite them to coffee. How can you pray for them? Invite them to church. Invite them to your small group. Take a step intentionally towards someone else so that maybe, just maybe, they might walk closer to Jesus because that's what Christ has commissioned us to do.”
