When believers step out in obedience—regardless of age or circumstance—God multiplies their efforts, bringing many to faith and expanding His kingdom in unexpected ways. The story of young and old alike planting churches and seeing entire families come to Christ is a testament to how God honors the faithfulness of those who answer His call, no matter their background or limitations. As in the early church, God continues to add to the number of believers, using ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things when they are willing to say yes to Him. [07:45]
Acts 5:14 (ESV)
"And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women."
Reflection: Is there an area where you sense God prompting you to step out in faith, regardless of your age or experience? What is one step of obedience you can take this week to respond to His call?
True spiritual growth happens not just through conversion, but through intentional discipleship that empowers new believers to discover God’s Word for themselves and share it with others. When people are equipped to read Scripture, ask questions, and apply it to their lives—even before they fully believe—they become active participants in God’s mission. This approach leads to multiplication, as new groups form and the gospel spreads organically, transforming communities from the inside out. [13:08]
Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Reflection: Who in your life could you invite to read and discuss Scripture with you, even if they are not yet a believer? How might you help them discover God’s truth for themselves?
In places of scarcity, the hunger for God’s Word is tangible and profound, as people long for the hope and truth found in Scripture. The simple act of receiving a Bible brings deep joy and even tears, reminding us not to take for granted the access we have to God’s Word. This hunger challenges us to examine our own desire for Scripture and to consider how we can cultivate a deeper love for God’s Word in our daily lives. [14:45]
Psalm 119:103-105 (ESV)
"How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
Reflection: When was the last time you truly delighted in reading the Bible? What is one way you can rekindle your hunger for God’s Word this week?
Serving the poor, the homeless, and the marginalized is at the heart of Christ’s mission, and when we love and care for the least of these, we are serving Jesus Himself. Acts of compassion—feeding, bathing, and dignifying those in need—open doors for the gospel and draw entire communities to witness God’s love in action. Even small acts of kindness can spark transformation, as neighbors join in and the church becomes a beacon of hope for the forgotten. [20:01]
Matthew 25:40 (ESV)
"And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’"
Reflection: Who in your community might be considered “the least of these”? What is one practical way you can serve or show kindness to them this week?
Investing in God’s kingdom—whether through giving, serving, or offering our very lives—has eternal significance, far beyond any earthly reward or security. Jesus calls us to store up treasures in heaven by living generously, sacrificially, and with an eternal perspective, knowing that God sees every act of faithfulness, even those unnoticed by others. Our time, resources, and love, when given for His sake, become deposits in a heavenly account that will never fade or be lost. [32:24]
Matthew 6:19-21 (ESV)
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Reflection: What is one way you can intentionally invest in God’s kingdom this week—through your time, resources, or relationships—so that you are storing up treasures in heaven?
Today, I shared stories of God’s faithfulness and the remarkable spiritual hunger in Cuba, a nation facing deep economic hardship. Despite the challenges—where even doctors and Olympians earn only a few dollars a month—God is moving powerfully. Over the past two decades, I’ve witnessed a spiritual awakening, with thousands coming to faith and entire communities transformed through simple acts of obedience and compassion.
One of the most inspiring examples is Pastor Norlin, who began planting churches as a teenager and now leads a movement of house churches and Bible discovery groups. These groups, often meeting in humble homes or under trees, have multiplied to over 20,000 across the island. The method is simple: gather unbelievers, read Scripture, and let the Holy Spirit guide discovery and transformation. Even before people come to faith, they’re encouraged to share what they’re learning, creating a ripple effect of evangelism and discipleship.
The hunger for God’s Word is tangible. When Bibles are distributed, crowds gather, hands outstretched, faces beaming or weeping with gratitude. Mass baptisms are now a regular occurrence, with hundreds lining up to publicly declare their faith. The church is not only growing in number but also in compassion. Ministries like Convoy of Hope are feeding thousands of children, and local believers are sacrificially providing vegetables and protein to supplement the meals. Agricultural projects are springing up, making the work more sustainable.
The gospel is reaching the most marginalized—homeless, addicts, and those living in dumps. Churches are being planted among these communities, not through grand strategies, but through consistent love: feeding, bathing, and caring for the least of these. Even when plans go awry, God redeems every effort for His glory, as seen when a chaotic visit to a city dump led to a new church being established.
All of this is possible because of faithful giving, prayer, and the willingness of ordinary people to offer their lives. Jesus calls us to store up treasures in heaven—not just with our finances, but with our time, compassion, and obedience. Every act of love, every sacrifice, every prayer is noticed by God and makes an eternal difference. The story of Cuba is a reminder that God is at work in the hardest places, and He invites us to join Him—whether we’re young or old, rich or poor, seen or unseen.
Just because you say, Oh, I'm retired and I'm pushing 80-something. I've heard of testimonies of people that have been called, you know, a little bit further in the mileage of their life. And God uses them as well. Okay? Come on now. [00:10:07] (17 seconds) #CalledAtAnyAge
And in Matthew six, I've always said for years, you know, Jesus said, store up your treasures in heaven. Do you ever stop to really think about, well, how many have intentionally been storing treasures in heaven? I'm just curious. You know, we know how to do 401ks. We know how to do that. We got to have a little bit in precious metals in case of a, the money goes, you know, debacle. Some of you are smarter than others. I was always kind of like living by faith. It's only as I've gotten older, my kids are in college, oh, I probably should think this a little bit through, you know, kind of use some wisdom, but we're pretty good when we stop and think of, and we know how to, we want to protect our family. There's nothing wrong with that. Don't get me wrong. What I'm saying is Jesus says, store up your treasures in heaven where moth pink slips don't exist. Yeah. Where the market ain't going to affect what you put there. [00:32:30] (44 seconds) #FaithfulTimeGiving
Some of you take time out today and say, you know what sister, so-and-so is in the hospital. Hey, let's not go out to that fancy dinner. Let's just get something to go. Maybe we could even take her soup. Let's go. You let's go give of our time. I find that as I, in our culture and I'm talking to me, I'm selfish with my time. That's another way to store up treasures in heaven. [00:33:37] (19 seconds) #LifeIsTheGreatestTreasure
Some of you have resources and you give the kingdom builders. That's another way to store up your treasures in heaven. But some of you say, yeah, but I don't got any funds. Yeah, but you got your life. That's the biggest treasure. And some of you that are here today. And you see what the 17 year old young man has done. Maybe God's calling you to get the biggest treasure of all. That's your life. [00:33:57] (24 seconds) #GodSeesAll
