#CalledNotEarned
“``And this minister said, Randy, you're right. You don't deserve this. In fact, the only reason you can be up there today is because he called you. And he didn't call you because you merit it. He called you because he will qualify you. You stand there in his righteousness. You be grateful because he is worthy, and you don't have to be.”

#SecondTouchHeals
“Have you meet met a Seventh day Adventist in need of the second touch of Jesus? Mhmm. What about that young woman? She's been around the block several times as this young lady was in one of my churches. Went to visit her in a prison. She was one of my elders' daughters. She's been on drugs. She was pregnant. And I come to her, and she says to me, pastor Lonnie, God won't accept me. I'm so afraid God won't accept me. And I say to her, young lady, Jesus says the one who comes to me, will never reject. She says, oh, I wish I just wish I could believe that. And I say, you know, what you really need is you need the second touch of Jesus so you can see clearly that Jesus does his best with broken people.”

#CanYouSeeJesus
“Now listen carefully, church. Two questions. They echo down through time all the way down to us here in Hamilton today. Two questions. Can you see? And secondly, then who am I? That's so tempting for us to say, well, you know, I went to Shenna. I went to Spring Valley Academy. I worked at Kettering. I went to medical school. I went to university. Jesus is great. I mean, how can you match what he does? He's the greatest thing. But you see, we've let other things get in our way over the years. Life is great. Our job is great. Our careers, our home, our marriage, our investments, stuff. But to answer Christ's question with clarity as Peter did, the clarity that says, well, Jesus is all. That's a little harder. Over the time, if we're honest, we haven't answered those two questions very well.”

#SeeChristClearly
“I know the temptation here is easy to say amen and disparage the first pastor. That's what we want to do. You know what his attitude said. Well, Jesus is great. He's wonderful. He's so important for what we're trying to do as ministers, but let me tell you what's really exciting about ministry is paper clips. That's what's really exciting. We want to disparage and denigrate and deride the first guy, but it strikes me listen, We wouldn't want to disparage a man who can't see clearly, would we? What's wrong with you? You can't read the top letter of this chart? Get it together, man. Let's not mock him. He just couldn't see clearly. He needed the second touch of Jesus that would open his eyes and allow him to finally see clearly who Jesus is and the centrality of his role in our lives, that you are the Christ. You are everything to me. You are the son of the living God. The second touch.”
