#SavedByGrace
“So we see right here, how can I be saved? It's not by what I can do. So when we ask the question, what can I do to receive eternal life? What can I do to be saved? The answer is I can't do it. It's about who I put my faith in. We put our faith in Jesus because he is the one that gives us eternal life. We don't earn eternal life. Jesus earned it for us. And so that's the hope of the gospel. The gospel is the good news of what Jesus has done for us. The good news is we don't earn it. Jesus earned it for us.”

#WorthTradingItAll
“He says, kingdom of God, life with Jesus. It's like when you find something of such great value, you say, will sell everything I have, so I have enough money to buy it because it's worth giving everything for. And that's what he says life with him is like. He says, it's worth trading the paper clip, it's worth trading in the the yellow star verse, it's worth trading in whatever my idol is, it's worth trading it all in so that I might follow him and have life with him. So will you trade your idols for a better life with Jesus?”

#PutGodFirst
“I think Jesus was calling out his idolatry. we see here in the in the beginning of the 10 commandments that idolatry, no other gods before me don't worship idols. Idols are not just these golden statues that they worshiped in in Exodus. They are the things that we put on the throne of our lives. They're the things that take the place, the rightful place that God should have in our life. So when something has more a priority in in our life than God, then that thing becomes an idol. And so Jesus was calling out his idolatry. For the rich young ruler, his wealth was his idolatry. He was clinging to that, and it was holding him back from fully following Jesus.”
