#GodInTheMidnightHour
“In the midnight hour, the most important thing for us to remember is that God has not abandoned you. That God is present in the midst of that crisis. God didn't come into a happy celebration to say, well, I know life is so perfect here on earth. Everything's just about right, and so I just wanna add to your joy. He didn't do that. God entered into a world that was falling apart. The world broken down and lost on a dead end street with no hope. That's when God intervened. You need to know that God is in your midnight hour, and if you do not realize it, that midnight hour can extinguish your faith altogether if you focus on the issue.”

#SovereigntyThroughWorship
“Midnight hour is the moment when God's sovereignty can shine. And although the circumstances for Paul and Silas didn't change immediately, we read in Acts 16 that God freed transformed them and positively impacted others as well. And if you're in the midnight hour today, here's what you should do. It isn't clearer, any more clearer than in acts chapter 16. They chose not to allow their pain, what they were going through, their circumstances to define their view of God. Rather, they allowed God to define the prison and instead in their moment of possible despair, they began to raise their voices and worship God.”

#GospelChangesAllLives
“Juxtaposed to Lydia's story is the deliverance of a slave girl through the power of Jesus' name. Acts 16 is the story of two women in the sovereign power of the gospel coming to Europe. Both women were bound for a Christless grave. Satan doesn't care what status you have. Whether you are CEO or a slave, if anyone has not acknowledged Jesus Christ as their lord and savior, the end is exactly the same. The end is a Christless grave.”

#StopComplainingPraise
“Meantime, the takeaway for you and I is to attack murmuring and complaining in your life. You wanna get on your wife? You wanna get on your husband? Stop. S t o p. Stop. Stop the murmuring. Stop the complaining. Go to God because God will deal better with her or him than you will ever be able to. Okay? It's quite possible that even today, even this week, you will be tempted to complain about something. Because you see, we all have a tendency to quickly revert into murmuring and complaining and whining. But realize in the midst of that circumstance, God is worthy of praise and worship. God has done enough by his crucifixion and his resurrection for you to be happy today and you can suffer well.”

#WordsOfLifeShareGospel
“you have the words of life for people in your community, in your family, for people you encounter. You have the words of life. It's one of the reasons why we pray the benediction every single week. You go nowhere by accident. God places you in situations like that so that you can be used to extend his kingdom. Spread of the gospel is the work of liberation. It's the work of spiritual deliverance, of invisible change being broken and prisoners set free.”

#HowToBeSaved
“And what did Paul do? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved and you and your whole household. So maybe the jailer had heard them singing as well. What must I do to be saved? And that is one of them two most vital questions I believe in the New Testament. The other is related to it when the past when Jesus asked them, what about you? Who do you say that I am? The two most vital questions I believe in the New Test. What must I do to be saved and who do you say that I am? Jailer asked, what must I do to be saved? And to just cut cut right to the end quickly. Him and his whole household were saved. The Bible says everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

#ThroneOfPraise
“But if you wanna build God in your own life, if you want God to enter your midnight hour, you've gotta build a throne of praise. Acts 16 highlights that Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. You and I need to understand when we choose to worship God amid amid amid uncertainty that there are people around you that are watching you.”

#WorshipWithAudience
“You know what? There was an audience that night. And when you begin to worship him in the midnight hour, you will have an audience as well. Bible says, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and praise your father who is in heaven. They had the choice to bemoan their faith or to worship God. And so think about Jesus. Think about what Jesus did for you and I. We're gonna share communion in a few moments. His broken body and his shed blood.”
