38s
“This is what maturity looks like. It's not becoming more independent from Jesus, it's becoming more and more dependent on him as we grow in his grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. You wanna be fully mature? Here's the secret. Keep hearing about Christ. Keep growing in Christ. Keep depending on Christ. And that same Lord Jesus who justified you will continue to make you holy, make you more and more Christ like in your life as you honor and serve him.”
59s
“never graduate beyond the forgiveness of sins that comes from Jesus. You never go beyond needing to hear again and again, Jesus Christ crucified, died, risen for you. Paul says, he is the one we proclaim. You can't go beyond that. You wanna become fully mature, you have to hear about Jesus again and again and again. The fully mature Christian, does not say, I know Jesus died for me. I know exactly what Stephen's gonna say today. The fully mature Christian says, I know Jesus died for me, and I can't wait to hear it again. I know Jesus rose from the dead. Give me that comfort again that I'm gonna rise from the dead too just like my savior has resurrected from the dead. I will too. Tell me again.”
44s
“We don't live more and more holy lives to get forgiveness. We've been forgiven, and now we want to live up to the status that God has given us. We want to become more and more Christ like in our life. And in order to do that, Jesus teaches and admonishes us what it means to live for him. is what Christian maturity is. It's not just going through the actions, it's it's the forgiveness of sins, the gospel message hitting our heads, our hearts, and comes out in hands. That is Christian maturity, becoming more and more like Christ, fully mature in him.”
