#RisenAndCalled
“Mary is commissioned with the message of resurrection. She becomes the first witness to the good news that Jesus Christ is risen. There's work to do. There's a time to weep and sit in the darkness but the linens have been folded and the tomb is empty. Jesus is risen. He is risen indeed. And what do we learn about God in this scripture? We learn that God is with us in the darkness. We remember that Jesus who wept cares about our tears and we realize that like Mary Magdalene, God charges us also with a calling to share the good news of great joy with the world and to ensure that others can use their voice too. It's time to use your voice.”

#FamilyByFaith
“May we put on our own red coats and our own red shoes and use our voices. Mary wept. She stayed and listened for God's voice and when Jesus called her name, she responded by using her voice. Jesus tells Mary, I am ascending to my father and your father, to my God and your God. Friends, this is language of relationship, of family. Through resurrection, a new family is formed. One defined not by anything other than faith and you're a part of it.”
