The words of the gospel carry a power that the world cannot ignore, and history shows that when believers boldly proclaim the truth of Christ—even in the face of hatred or violence—the impact is multiplied, not diminished. The martyrdom of those who stand for the gospel, like Charlie Kirk, is not a defeat but a catalyst for revival, as God uses even the greatest sacrifices to draw many to Himself. The call is to remain unashamed and unwavering, knowing that the message of Jesus transforms lives and that persecution, even unto death, is part of following Him. [13:58]
Romans 1:16 (ESV)
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Reflection: When was the last time you shared the truth of the gospel with someone, even when it was uncomfortable or risky? What would it look like for you to speak boldly and lovingly about Jesus this week?
God’s heart beats for every nation, every people, and every generation, and He has given His followers a clear mandate: to go and make disciples of all nations. This is not a calling for a select few, but for every believer—to pray, to give, to go, or to send—so that the good news of Jesus reaches the ends of the earth. The most important thing on God’s heart is that all would hear and respond to the gospel, and He invites His people to participate in this mission with urgency and faithfulness. [17:04]
Matthew 28:19 (ESV)
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Reflection: In what specific way can you participate in God’s mission to the nations this month—through prayer, giving, or reaching out to someone from another culture?
God delights in turning even the fiercest opponents of the gospel into its greatest champions, as seen in the life of the apostle Paul and countless others. No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace, and the Spirit can awaken even those who mock or persecute, transforming them into bold witnesses for Christ. The call is to pray for those who oppose the gospel, believing that God can use their lives for His glory and the advancement of His kingdom. [01:44]
Acts 9:1-6 (ESV)
But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”
Reflection: Who is someone in your life or in the public eye who seems far from God? Will you commit to pray daily for their salvation and transformation this week?
God honors even the smallest acts of faithfulness and sacrifice for His kingdom, multiplying them in ways beyond what we can imagine. Whether it’s giving out of our lack, praying for the lost, or serving in unseen ways, every offering matters to God and is rewarded eternally. The story of the widow’s mite and the testimony of those who give sacrificially remind us that God sees, values, and blesses our obedience, using it to advance His purposes in the world. [23:47]
Mark 12:41-44 (ESV)
And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”
Reflection: What is one small, sacrificial step you can take today—whether in giving, serving, or encouraging someone—that you trust God will use for His kingdom?
In times of darkness, confusion, and violence, God calls His people to persistent prayer—for revival, for protection, and for genuine new birth in Christ. The need is great: for those caught in deception to find truth, for leaders and public figures to encounter Jesus, and for the church to be both bold and compassionate. As we pray, we trust God to bring supernatural transformation, to protect His people, and to raise up a generation that desires righteousness and truth. [30:43]
1 Timothy 2:1-4 (ESV)
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Reflection: Who are three people or groups you can pray for by name today—for their salvation, protection, or deliverance from confusion? Will you set aside time to intercede for them this week?
The tragic martyrdom of Charlie Kirk has deeply impacted many, both within and outside the church. His life and death serve as a powerful reminder of the cost and calling of following Christ in a world that often resists truth. Charlie’s ministry, marked by boldness, love, and unwavering commitment to the gospel, has left a legacy that continues to bear fruit. Even in the face of slander and hostility, he responded with grace, always returning to the truth of God’s Word and the central mission of winning souls for Jesus. His willingness to engage with those who opposed him, to answer their questions with patience and biblical clarity, exemplifies the heart of Christ for the lost and confused.
Martyrdom, while shocking and painful, is not a defeat for the church. Throughout history, the blood of the martyrs has been the seed of revival, igniting fresh passion and boldness among believers. The enemy may seek to silence the truth by targeting its messengers, but God uses even these tragedies to awaken hearts, draw seekers, and embolden the church. The supernatural ripple effect of Charlie’s death is already evident, as people who never knew him are moved to seek God, question their beliefs, and consider the claims of Christ.
The call to missions remains at the center of God’s heart. Every believer is invited to participate—whether by going, praying, or giving—in the great commission to reach every nation with the gospel. No act of faithfulness, however small, goes unnoticed by God. The story of the woman who sacrificed her last $10 for missions and was later blessed with an unexpected inheritance illustrates God’s faithfulness to those who prioritize His kingdom.
In a culture increasingly confused and hostile to biblical truth, the church is called to speak with both kindness and conviction. We must pray for those caught in deception, for the persecutors, and for those in positions of influence. The power of the gospel is not diminished by opposition; rather, it shines all the brighter. As we pray for protection, revival, and the salvation of many, we trust that God is at work, turning even the darkest moments into opportunities for His glory.
Romans 1:16 (ESV) — > For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
2. Mark 16:15 (ESV)
> And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
3. Matthew 28:19 (ESV)
> Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
I have a heart for young adults everywhere I go. I'm always on the lookout to lay hands on them and bless them. And I've had young adults respond to me from Mexico, from the country of Georgia. And they said, Pastor, we're so sorry. We listened a lot to Charlie Kirk. We listened to how he would share the gospel on the campus. And he was open to take, no matter how ugly they were, he was open to take their questions and their flack. And he would give them answers, you know, totally based on the word of God. That's what a lot of people don't know about him. The enemies called him a racist. The enemies called him a white supremacist. Those are flat out, bald faced lies. That's what the enemy does. He's a liar. [00:04:53]
He didn't really debate them. He does. But he just brings them back around to the truth every time and makes them think through things. And in the effort to turn them. And somebody, who was it we were listening to? Somebody said, I know, Charlie, I've asked him, how do you put up with those nasty people? He said, I love them. He said, that's who God has sent me to reach. So come on now. Come on now. [00:05:50]
So at age 31, he is a modern -day martyr. I like this post the most from him. He says, the most important thing is to win souls for Jesus Christ. The second most important thing is to make sure we can still do the first thing. And so he focused on both of those things. [00:06:20]
You know, you can get a lot done in a quick amount of time with God doing it through you, can't you? Jesus' ministry, three and a half years. This shocked me. It's been years ago. But it shocked me years ago when I looked at John the Baptist and I thought, man, he wasn't ministering very long. And I searched on how long his ministry was. Do you know it was nine months? God prepared his whole life for a nine -month ministry. And Jesus said, there has not been a greater prophet ever than John the Baptist. Nine -month ministry. So, Brother Charlie's life has borne great fruit and it will continue to bear great fruit. [00:07:46]
Now, people say, how come God let that happen? Because God said, you're going to have that in this world. You're going to have persecutions, even to the point of death. You all know that every one of the disciples were martyrs except one, right? John, the Apostle John, every one of them. Peter crucified upside down. James beheaded. And, man, this has hit us all hard. [00:10:00]
And you would think that would defeat the church. But history proves it's like pouring gasoline on an already going fire. It's like pouring fuel upon a fire. So, evil and hatred has always tried to rule and control and to intimidate the people of the earth. The apostle Paul says, don't come under their intimidation for a minute, but be ready to give them an answer for the hope that lies within you. [00:12:35]
So, we've got nothing to be ashamed about. Nothing. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is what? The power of God and the salvation. Romans 1 .16. And when you boil all this down, let's just, because he's in the spotlight right now, let's boil this down with Charlie Kirk. What was it that people wanted to wipe out in that man? His words. Words. Words that proclaimed truth. [00:13:11]
There's power, power in the gospel that comes forth in spoken word. There's power. Mighty power to change people's lives. Hallelujah. At times, it looks like darkness is prevailing and the cause of Jesus is losing. But, no, no, no. The final answer, he gave us the final answer. He gave us the solution. He gave us our job description. And he told us what to do. And he told us the most important thing upon his heart. [00:14:28]
There's power, wonder -working power in the gospel. It's the power of God unto salvation that changes people's lives, that takes haters and makes them lovers. Hallelujah. [00:15:36]
So, we have the answer. The answer is the gospel, and men and women and boys and girls have to hear words spoken by us through the gospel. In Matthew 28, 19, he says the same thing. Go and make disciples of all the nations. Go and make disciples of all the nations. [00:16:43]
And you'd be surprised. Our church has never been a big church. It's never been a big church. And yet, God has used this church to reach multiplied thousands of people across the world. Hallelujah. Now, we don't think of it this way, but you need to think of it this way. Every penny you've given and every prayer you've prayed for missions, you will be rewarded eternally for that. Hallelujah. [00:17:48]
As long as God gives me good health and a sound mind, which I believe he's faithful to do that, I want to not slow down. I want to continue to reach, touch, bless, care, love, give, pray as much as I can. Can I hear an amen? Can I hear an amen on that? [00:18:26]
So watch how many young adults come to the Lord in the next few months. Watch this. Watch it. Hallelujah in Jesus' name. Lots, lots, lots of them, lots of them, lots of them, lots of them, in Jesus' name. I pray, God, this is a right prayer. I pray that young adults become ashamed of their sinful lifestyles, in Jesus' name. I pray. They say, I can't live with myself. I need help. I need an answer. I need answers. I need help. I need relief, in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. In Jesus' name. Amen. [00:19:25]
Do you see his heart? I don't know how he says it over and over and over and over. That is the last thing and the most important thing on the Lord Jesus and the Father God's heart, and it still is today. We need to be as involved in the most important thing as we possibly can right now. Everybody say right now. Right now. Hallelujah. [00:21:02]
He's faithful in small things. She was, and God was. God was faithful to take that and multiply it and bless her in Jesus' name. The widow's mite. Hallelujah. She sacrificed a burger for the nations of the world. Amen. Hallelujah. [00:24:00]
So God's answer for the world is words. Charlie was killed, the side of his neck blown out, for words. The most powerful words, there are no words like these words. There are no words that have the power of God in it like these words. There's no words that the devil fears like these words. We have these words. And the Lord says, take my words to everyone around you. Take my words to the gospel. [00:24:19]
Do you know you can be nice and not agree with people? How many of you know that? Now, I know it's very touchy. We've got like, this is educational brainwashing. I pray, too, for complete revamping of our current, quote, educational system. I'm not going to call it that. It's a propaganda system. And I read recently, one -third of college students believe they're trans. I said, okay, there's your proof of demonic, brainwashing, propaganda, confusion. There's your proof of it right there. And you can be nice when you confront that. You can be nice when you confront that in Jesus' name. That's confusion. [00:24:54]
Charlie was killed because of the effectiveness of his words. He gave answers from God's word. He based every answer he could give to people from the words of the gospel. The enemy could not cope with that. He had no defense for that. So thinking he could win by killing the messenger, he silenced. It's Charlie with a bullet. But as we've said earlier, church history has proven that the martyrdom of a believer only causes a multitude of believers to spring up in his place in Jesus' name. And we're already seeing this happen in the name of Jesus. [00:27:30]
He said, Charlie's very last words were, Christ is Lord and death is defeated. And then the shot rang out. That just gave me chills again. That just gave me chills again. So I'm telling you, God is in the process of doing a mighty miracle through this one martyrdom. Amen? He's in the process of doing a mighty miracle. [00:29:03]
How many of you know you must be born again in order to see the kingdom of God? It doesn't say you must be Catholic. It doesn't say you must be this, that, or the other. It says you must be born again in order to see the kingdom of God. [00:30:09]
It's not where you sit in a church. It's not any of that. It's not your good works. It's not any of that. But it's giving your life over to Jesus as your Lord and as your Savior and receiving him and following his ways and being born again. [00:31:01]
If any of you, time out here in my prayer. If any of you have listened to Charlie Kirk. He told over and over these young college students, he told them, if you're living with girls, or you're having sex regularly with girls, or you're addicted to pornography, God has a better way for you. God has a fulfilling way for you. You need one wife, and you need to be faithful to her, and you need to love her with all your heart. We just listened to him say that on one of his past YouTube podcasts the other day. So people calling him a white supremacist, a racist, please, may they become ashamed. They're cooperating with the father of lies. And may great repentance, great repentance, great repentance come upon this nation in Jesus' name. [00:32:42]
Could we say that for some people, martyrdom is the will of God? I believe we can. And we look at it, it's horrific. We saw it. It's horrific. It's horrific. But there's something about what that releases, and God rewards that person. I think that might be one of the greatest rewards you can ever have, is a martyr's crown. Wow. [00:34:47]
There is a time and a place for us to pray for protection. There is Psalm 91. Amen. Well, Pastor, that doesn't knock out martyrdom. No, it doesn't. But there's a lot of things. Boy, I drove Trail Ridge Road yesterday. I was thanking God I survived. There's a lot of things you believe God for protection for, and he has protection for you on that. Can I hear an amen? Hallelujah. [00:35:49]
