Sermon Summary

In my sermon, I explored the biblical perspective of marriage as a covenant, emphasizing the sacrificial love Christ has for the church as a model for husbands to love their wives. I stressed the importance of husbands loving their wives as they love their own bodies, taking care of them, nourishing them, and ensuring their well-being. I concluded by quoting theologian Tim Keller, who said that marriage is a lifelong monogamous relationship between a man and a woman, devised by God to reflect His saving love for us in Christ, to refine our character, and to create stable human communities for the birth and nurture of children.
