#listeningQuestion
“Are you listening? Am I listening? Whose voice are we listening to? See, in this teaching of Jesus alone for all of us to perhaps have been considered where our hearts are at this morning, or more importantly, where soil am I today? Who is the loudest voice right now in your life? Our own voice, the culture's voice, the world's voice, or Christ as the word and his voice?”

#rootedFaithFruitfulLife
“This person acknowledges the truth to the good news of the gospel. They hear the news, they they see their need for a savior, so they turn away from their sin towards Jesus and receive it, and much fruit is born as it continues to grow in them, as they continue to grow and rest in who Jesus is and his word. It multiplies and grows and grows. It is a wonderful picture of the Christian abundant life. It's not stolen from the devil. It has deep roots, so when trial comes and persecution comes, there's actually life that grows. It's less worried on the things of the world because the fruit of the word has gone deep, so the focus is the one who is the word Jesus Christ.”

#comeHomeToChrist
“But see, what Jesus is reminding his disciples is that the message of the kingdom is a message inviting people ultimately to come home and find their home and residence, not in the things of this world, but in Christ. Do you hear that? Actually, what it does is, particularly in our culture, to push against that Aussie individualistic kind of thinking, to be reminded of the gospel that invites people ultimately to come home to Christ. That is where they will be truly home in Jesus who is king.”
