Manifesting Jesus: Power, Healing, and Generational Blessings

Summary

In today's gathering, we celebrated the power and presence of Jesus, whose name is above all others. We shared testimonies of healing and miracles, emphasizing that God is still at work today, performing wonders among us. I recounted a story of an elderly woman who experienced a miraculous healing, illustrating that God’s power is not confined to the past but is active in our present lives. We also discussed the significance of dreams as a means through which God communicates with us, unlocking divine insights and guidance.

We then moved into a time of prayer, inviting those in need of healing to come forward. As a community, we stood in faith, believing for miracles and witnessing God’s healing power in action. This was a powerful reminder that God’s presence is tangible and His desire to heal and restore is ever-present.

Our mission as followers of Christ is to manifest His life through our own. Despite the daily struggles and pressures we face, we are called to reveal Jesus to others. This mission is not without challenges, but it is our purpose. We are reminded that our lives are like letters, read by all, and they should reflect the life and love of Jesus. This is a profound calling that requires us to rely on the supernatural power of God within us.

We also touched on the importance of maintaining relationships with spiritually mature individuals who can uplift and challenge us. These relationships are vital for our spiritual growth and help us stay aligned with God’s purposes. As we navigate life’s challenges, we are encouraged to keep our focus on eternal things, understanding that our present afflictions are momentary and are producing an eternal weight of glory.

Finally, we celebrated the generational blessings that come from a legacy of faith, as we prayed for a family and their new child, asking for God’s blessing and guidance in their lives. This was a beautiful reminder of the impact of faith passed down through generations.

Bible Reading:
1. Philippians 2:9-11 - "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
2. 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 - "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. It is written: 'I believed; therefore I have spoken.' Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

Acts 4:10-12 (ESV): "let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by him this man is standing before you well. This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Reflection: Think of a situation in your life where you need a breakthrough. How can you intentionally call upon the name of Jesus with faith and expectation today?

Day 2: Our Lives as Letters Reflecting Jesus
Our lives are meant to be a reflection of Jesus, a letter read by all. This requires us to live authentically and allow the life of Jesus to be manifested through us, even amidst life's challenges. And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."

Reflection: In what ways can your actions today reflect the love and life of Jesus to those around you? Consider one specific action you can take to be a living letter of Christ.

These momentary afflictions are producing an eternal weight of glory, and we are encouraged to keep our focus on eternal things. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (ESV): "For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."

Reflection: What is one trial you are currently facing? How can you shift your focus from the temporary pain to the eternal glory that God is preparing for you through this trial?

He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children."

Reflection: How can you actively contribute to the spiritual growth of the next generation in your family or community? What is one specific way you can bless and encourage them today?

Quotes

Your name is a name that's above every other name. Kings, queens, governments, whatever. But your name is preeminent. At the name of Jesus, demons have to go. Healings occur. We pray in your name. And when we use your name, it's like all heaven. It's backing us because the name is a heavenly name. With great power. Thank you, Jesus. [00:46:59] (34 seconds) Edit Clip

And I said to her, have you got pain going down this part of your body? And she was in a lot of pain. And from her hip right down to her knee. And I said, well, look, would you like me to pray for you? And she said, yes, I would. And as I say, I didn't even know that she knew Jesus. Prayed for her. And the shock that hit her face when all the pain went and she was totally healed. [00:48:30] (31 seconds) Edit Clip

And I'd like to pray for anybody here this morning that you've got pain going down your left. Sorry, your right shoulder down either your arm or down that side there. I'd like to pray for you right now. If you'd come up here, if there's anybody, come up quickly. And let's see the Lord do a miracle, if you need that. Anybody? Love to pray for you. [00:49:45] (23 seconds) Edit Clip

But I want you to all be in faith as I pray for these people, would you? And believe for God to do a miracle. Because what God did last weekend, God does. When? This weekend. And a few people said yes. One of you said amen. But I say yes. Yes? Yes. Here's the power of God. Now. Touch it. Touch it right now. [00:50:30] (33 seconds) Edit Clip

For momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. Well, we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Now, there's something that I'm not sure that every Christian understands, but Jesus has a mission for every one of us to accomplish. [01:26:52] (33 seconds) Edit Clip

It's an incredible understanding to come to that Jesus chose you and he chose me to bring his life onto this earth, to bring his presence to people. And it's our mission to bring Jesus, to bring his life to people. I find that incredibly challenging. And of course, when you're struggling with day by day issues, and we all struggle with stuff, I mean, whether it's to pay your mortgage, whether to pay your rent. [01:27:54] (40 seconds) Edit Clip

And it's so easy to get sidetracked by other things. And absolutely, you know, we all have got responsibilities that we've got to cover. But in the long run, Jesus wants us to reveal his life to others. That's the mission. Okay. And it's what we're meant to be fulfilling. It's our purpose. And I remember that incredible moment where Jesus goes to Nazareth Nazareth. [01:31:01] (31 seconds) Edit Clip

And he's invited you and I to be part of the mission to heal broken hearts. It's absolutely extraordinary to do it. In 2 Corinthians 3, verse 2 to 3, he says something that is incredibly challenging. He says, you are our letter written on our hearts, known and read by all men, being manifest that you are a letter of Christ, cared for us, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God. [01:34:02] (32 seconds) Edit Clip

And it's a letter about Jesus that when they look at me and when they look at you, what they are actually supposed to be seeing is the life of Jesus and a witness of Jesus. And they read your life, how would you like that? But do you know what? It's happening every day. You can't avoid it. We're a letter read of all people. [01:36:59] (30 seconds) Edit Clip

Now, we have this treasure. It's the power of God. It's the supernatural. And I spoke a message a few weeks ago, and I talked about the partnership between power and character. And you cannot have righteousness, the kingdom of God, righteousness, peace, and joy, without the power. The kingdom of God is power. Without the power working on your heart to give you the ability to change. [01:39:37] (27 seconds) Edit Clip

Because I need people around me like you need people around you who are more powerful, more spiritual, who know Jesus Christ, who've got the power and the river of God, the Holy Spirit running in and through their lives. You and I, we all need people like that. He'll be honest with us. I bucked myself up. I had to change my attitude like instantaneously. But it was a good thing. [01:50:44] (36 seconds) Edit Clip
