A Mans Influence on His Family

The call, “Can I get a witness?” gathers up the changed lives that Jesus sends back into the world. Mark 5 shows a demon-tormented man made whole and sent home to tell his friends what great things the Lord had done for him. John 9 puts a healed blind man before the religious elite with one simple testimony: “I was blind, but now I can see.” John 4 sends a broken Samaritan woman back into town saying, “Come see a man who told me everything about myself.”

Acts 10 brings Cornelius to the witness stand as a good man looking for God. Luke describes him as devout, God fearing, generous to the poor, regular in prayer, strong in his household, and respected in his work as a Roman centurion.
