69s
“``The gospel says Jesus came for sinners and everyone says amen to that. Jesus came for broken people. Jesus came for imperfect Jesus came for men with past. He came for men with wounds. Jesus came for men who need a new heart. And it's through Jesus Christ that God does not just forgive us, he makes us new. We are a new creation clothed in the righteousness and the holiness of Jesus who is perfect in all his way. Men, you and I, we do not have to be trapped in shame. you can come home today. You can repent. You can be restored. You can be rebuilt. You can lead again, you can love again, you can pray again, you can get back up again. Through the grace of our heavenly father. Listen, a man after God's heart is a not a man who never needs grace, He is a man who knows where to find it. He's a man who knows where to find it.”
43s
“This is where the message for us is good news. It's good news because some men I know and I know there are men that have come in today carrying regret. But Father's Day is not a day to celebrate men who have gotten everything right. It's a day to remind all of us men that God restores. Those who have failed and who are broken and and who have plenty of regrets, it is god who restores us. David's story does listen, it doesn't minimize sin. It doesn't minimize it but it magnifies god's grace.”
42s
“It magnifies his grace. See, the same god who confronted David was the god who restored David. The same god who corrected David was the god who continued to use David. The same god who saw David's failure also saw David's heart. Right? This doesn't mean that consequences disappeared. There were severe consequences that David have had to pay based on his failure. The consequences don't disappear, but it does mean that failure does not have to be the final word in our lives.”
44s
“A man after God's heart is devoted to the word of God. David understood something every man needs to understand. I want you to understand this today. You cannot become a man after God's heart while ignoring God's voice. We can't become men after God's heart while ignoring God's voice. And the greatest voice of God we have in our life is his word. That's why we call it the word of God. Because it is his voice from his heart to our hearts. And you and I, we can't become men after God's heart while ignoring his voice. The word of God is what shapes the heart of the man of God.”
