“factory of idols. We are like Henry Fording this thing. Our hearts are assembly lines, just making new gods all the time. We are very proficient at making new gods. Right? The the the nonstop constant speed of the American way of life has made us incredibly efficient at worshiping the wrong stuff. So you gotta wake up and go, I know my heart has a talent for making new gods, performing new loves, for discovering new things to worship. And I need to be realigned to the only one who is worthy, the lamb who was slain for the sins of the world. He is worthy of my life and my devotion and my sacrifice and my love.”

“And so he really is wonderful. He really is worth every sacrifice. He really still is the answer. Jesus really still is the hope of the world. He really is the desire still of the nations, and Jesus still is our one true great love and lover. And so I just wanna invite you this morning to be moved by the Holy Spirit as he pours out the love of the father into your heart, that you'd respond by giving your all in all, by loving him all the way. Because, church, your happiness depends upon it.”

“Increase your giving beyond what you're comfortable with. Take on a foster child, maybe even two. Reconcile with your estranged family member that you've sworn off. Be vulnerable with a friend in the exact area of brokenness you don't want people to know about. Put yourself in a position that frightens you, that scares you, that challenges you, that forces you to depend upon the Holy Spirit inside of you. Are you with me? Yeah. Stay needy because needy people get God, and people who get God are really happy.”
