#FaithFacesFacts
“```And let me free some of us. You've been taught some bad theology. You've been taught that if you have some illness in your body, don't say it. We can't admit it because if we say it, it becomes real. It's real whether you say it or not. That's bad theology. That's not biblical faith. Biblical faith does not hide from the facts. Biblical faith brings them into the light so they can be submitted to Christ.”

#EverydayFaithMatters
“what I'm talking about is not on Sunday when we hear the worship team talking about behold the king is coming. I'm talking about on Monday morning when it's not about prophecy but it's about paying a bill. I'm I'm talking about on Tuesday when it's when it's difficult and and it's really not about laying hands on the sick. It's about when I'm in the doctor's office and the report that comes to me. But these moments, that's when we are transformed, really. Monday, on Tuesday and Wednesday, that's when we are formed disciples. the question is for us and the question that we're gonna walk through in this text is, what do you do when the facts are real, the need is great, and you don't have enough?”

#EnterHisRest
“The place was desolate, it was a fact, but the shepherd was present and when the shepherd is present, a deaf a desolate place becomes a banquet hall and for the crowd, the command to sit down, it matters because Jesus was saying, settle yourself. I'm about to be at work. Settle yourself. Enter into my rest. Settle yourself. And some of us need that word. We have been standing and pacing in places of panic and Jesus is calling us to enter into his rest.”

#FactsNotFinal
“I just came to remind us as I'm closing, Jesus is not only the lord over demons. He's not only the lord over disease. He's the lord that can multiply dinner. He's the lord over the diagnosis. He's the lord over the bank account. He's the lord over the unsaved child. He's the lord over marriage. He's the lord over the job. He's the Lord over every desolate place in your life. He's the Lord over fish and loaves. The facts may be true but the facts are not final. You may not have a job right now but it is not final. You may not have the verdict you want but it is not final. You may not have the report that you want. It is not final. The resources may be limited, it is not final. Jesus gets the final word. Keep coming back to the Lord. If you keep coming back, he keeps giving out.”

#CourageousConversations
“Avoiding difficult conversations with your spouse to save your marriage is denial. If if you're avoiding it and you know your marriage is hurting, you're supposed to have the conversation, find out what the problem, expose it, and then submit it. Biblical faith says, these are the facts. The crowd is large, it's 5,000 people. We don't have enough, but Jesus, what we is gonna do about it? That's biblical faith. Because I know if I give it to you, you can do something about it.”

#RevelationThroughTrials
“So in these verses, Jesus, shepherd, king, healer, the one who cares, the one who has power, the one who presents himself in a time of trouble, and he's doing that for us today. What are you going through right now that's meant to give you a new revelation of who God is. You maybe have known him in so many ways, but you may be in the middle of something that's showing you a new side of God that you never knew before. And so it's not for us to run from this situation, it's for us to lean into it and say, Lord, what are you saying to me? I wanna know who is beside me. Who are you?”

#GetTheFactsFirst
“gather the facts honestly. Go to the doctor. Get the report. Look at your budget. Figure out where where where what's missing and what you need to fill in. Have the have the hard conversation with your spouse. Where are we missing the mark? Because the fourth principle is this, after you get the facts, you expose the problem, give it a name, say what it is, just don't stop there because the facts are not final.”

#BeyondOurCapacity
“And here's the problem that we find in this passage of scripture that they come from that testimony, victories, then they're gonna run into a problem that is beyond what they just got through experiencing. Feeding 5,000 not including women and children, that's a problem that is beyond their capacity. It's beyond their comprehension and they had the power over demons and devils, but they weren't sure if Jesus had the power over dinner. That was the problem that they needed to be formed in. And that's the reality for all of us though. As disciples, we're gonna get to a point where we come face to face with a practical problem, and we're wondering, Jesus, do you have power in this situation in my life? It's beyond what I have in my hand. It's beyond my education. It's beyond what I've been skilled and grown grown to even do. Lord, can you help me in this situation?”
