#FromCrowdToDisciple
“Now listen to me when I say this, being part of the crowd around Jesus is not the same as being a disciple. Crowds stand around and observe. Disciples commit themselves to action. Specifically, they carry others to Jesus. See, a second thing we learn about it, what it looks like to love one another. So what we learn from these friends is that love sees opportunities, not obstacles.”

#CarryOthersToJesus
“But so there's this guy's probably there of his own choosing. He wants to be there, he wants to hear Jesus, but for obvious reasons, this paralyzed man, he cannot get there by himself. So a group of his friends, they put him on a mat and they they carry him. And don't miss this. This place is packed out with people who want to hear Jesus. They are all there to get to know a little bit more about this Jesus guy that they've heard a lot about. But these guys carrying their friend, they aren't focused only on getting to Jesus. They want to bring somebody with them too. And they're willing to do whatever it takes to get him there. See, here's the first thing that we see about love lived out in this passage is this, that love doesn't just believe. Love carries people to Jesus.”

#BeyondSituationToSalvation
“See, some of you are some of you are here week after week or you're watching online week after week and you're taking and teaching and you're singing the songs and you're celebrating the stories and you're praying the prayers, but you've never addressed your own sin. You've never brought it to Jesus to ask for forgiveness. You've never repented. You've never tried to turn away from that sin. And so by coming, you're just addressing your situation, you're not addressing your salvation. But love reaches beyond a situation and it points toward salvation. So I'm gonna give you that opportunity to turn to Jesus, to find your way home.”
