“``Find your security in that. Find your joy in that. The foundation of your peace is in that. Not in the circumstances of life. Not not in the encircling sin of our culture. Not not in not in the noise of the propaganda around. There there's no peace in that. But in everything and in all things, the Lord knows. Whatever sinners are doing, the Lord knows. Whatever politicians are planning, the Lord knows. Whoever invents the propaganda, the Lord knows. Whatever the devil is up to, the Lord knows. Whatever you came in here with today, the Lord knows. In everything and in all things, The Lord knows.”

“What Peter does here is break down the entire human race of all time into two categories of people. One category people who are rescued from the wrath of God and the other category is people who are reserved for the wrath of God. And let me tell you, at the end of human history, it's really that simple. Those who ignored God and those who believed God. Those who didn't accept his son as savior and those who did accept his son. It's just simple.”

“Prayer, pity, purity, one more peace. Really? Peter will write at the end of this letter since we're waiting for these events that is judgment to new earth, new heaven. Be diligent to be found by him at peace. Really? Yeah. Not lathered up, not fighting back, not yelling louder. We can be at peace internally, mentally, spiritually. We'll go back to the opening words of this text that we encountered today, verse nine. And there's the implication for us as believers. I love this little phrase. Maybe you ought to underline it. Three words. The Lord knows. Stop there. Memorize that. Say that. Meditate on that. Live by that.”

“You're never off his radar. In the same manner, Peter is saying here that the unbeliever is never off God's radar either. The unbelievers never out of the peripheral vision so to speak of He is an eyewitness to every sin. Imagine, he's an eyewitness to every crime. There will be no cold cases at the great white throne. Every one of them is gonna be revealed. And I often say is my wife and I watch one of those detective shows. They got away with it. Until then, when it's going to be revealed. Peter already wrote back in verse three that there, the unbelievers condemnation is not idle. Their destruction is not asleep. It looks like God has dozed off. It looks like God doesn't notice. It looks like they're getting away with it. There isn't lightning and thunder. God hasn't dozed off. It will arrive. There's another chilling statement here.”
