#EnterTheAshHeap
“Don't use spiritual feelings and signs to judge others. You need to overlook the painful outbursts that we go through. You need to get down in the dirt. You need to get on the ash ash heap, and you need to make eye contact with the person that you're dealing with because Jesus never stood at a distance and offered theological critiques of what we're going through. He entered the ash heap of your life. You know that? And he took the poison arrows for you. What a beautiful picture of the gospel.”

#CheapTheologyExposed
“And what Eliphaz is offering is just Satan's philosophy kind of re packaged. Because now he's saying, repent and I know God will bless you. Repent and God will restore you. And he's really referring to all the things that we're taking from him. And if Job had made that bargain, he would've just been proving Satan right. It would've been proving Lucifer correct in his challenge to God. So here's Eliphaz, here's Job's words, ignores Job's heart, and by his own logic, his own feelings, and his own observations decides, you've sinned, you've been punished, you need to repent.”

#LoveNotTheories
“when a business whenever a friend has a business failure or they have a cancer diagnosis, sometimes we walk away and wonder, I wonder what they did wrong. Yeah, I wonder what sin they've committed. And we forget that in a fallen world, bad things happen to godly people. It rains on the just and what? The unjust. So we can never assume that somebody's sickness or somebody's failure is a punishment from God. That's above my pay grade. And hurt people need your love, not your theories. They need your love.”
