64s
“And Jonathan, who is he a signpost of? Jesus Christ himself. Why did the father come? Because Jesus, he made a covenant with Jesus and Jesus came to do that and Jesus himself actually emptied himself of his throne and came down and took off his belt and his sword and he laid it down so that you and I can ascend to become royalty with God. He emptied his throne and his rights so that you and I might gain access and sit at the table to be there with him. Jesus is the better Jonathan. Jonathan died on Mount Gaboah, but Jesus died on Golgotha, and he laid down his crown and throne to save us. That's a profound change in grace.”

“We need God to come rescue us. Christianity is not about us and how we make it to God. Christianity is primarily about who God is and how he comes and saves Mephibosheths. Isn't that incredible? Give up your striving. Get over yourself. You're way worse than we know. We're dirty dogs. The walls could speak. If our minds could tell. If you the bible actually teaches if we break one part of the law, we're guilty of breaking the whole law. The king has the right to destroy us.”
36s
“The bible is not primarily about us and what we must do. Okay? That would be one way to look at it, but it's not primarily that way. The the bible is actually primarily about who god is and what he's done. Okay? You've got we have to learn, Grace Church. We have to learn to read and see the Bible. It's not primarily written about us and what we must do. It's actually written about God and what he has done. And we have to shift to see, learn learn to see it that way.”
