#SurrenderToGod
“This message isn't just about marriage. It's about surrender. It's about giving up your will for God's will for your life. You see, you cannot have a God centered marriage without a God surrendered life. So everything begins and ends with surrender. And some of you may be in this room right now, and and maybe you're feeling this. Maybe the Holy Spirit is pointing out to you right now that, you know, there's errors of your life that you have been compromising on. There's areas of your life where bitterness is is rising up or maybe, you know, it's lust. Maybe it's control. Maybe it's the spirit of pride or or maybe it's just brokenness from past relationships. But there's areas of your life that need to be surrendered to God so God can have his way in your relationships.”

#TwoBecomeOneInChrist
“Because I believe healthy marriages can exist, but when you live in that in your life, you begin to wonder if you can ever experience it. And so I think it's important that we define a healthy marriage. So let's just put a definition to a healthy marriage. A healthy marriage is when two imperfect people surrender their lives to Jesus. When two imperfect people surrender their lives to Jesus, surrender their will to the will of Jesus, you both have to do this within a marriage in order for it to be healthy.”

#MutualSurrender
“So verse 21 says, be willing to serve each other out of respect for Christ. So he's not just talking to the wife, he's not just talking to the husband. He's telling you both. The meaning of marriage is not about winning. It's about surrendering. Okay? Some of y'all like to win too much, myself included. I'm good with some arguments. But in the grand scheme of things, guys, it doesn't matter. Does it really matter? It's about a mutual surrender. Okay?”

#GiveGraceAndPursue
“When both want grace but never give grace. Like you want grace for your mistake, you want grace for for somewhere where you've messed up or said something wrong or did something wrong, but you're not willing to give grace back when the other person does something. Here's another one. When both want to be pursued but nobody is pursuing. Alright. I hear this a lot of times when marriages begin to begin to start chipping away. Well, they never do this for me. They never say this to me. They never, help me here. They never, you know, take part in this. Then somebody has to start.”
