In a world filled with chaos, anger, and confusion, it is easy to let our thoughts be shaped by the noise around us or even by our own anxieties. Yet, Scripture promises that when we allow the Holy Spirit to guide our minds, we experience true life and peace, even in the midst of turmoil. This is not about ignoring reality, but about choosing to let God’s Spirit set the tone for our inner world, bringing hope and freedom where there was once heaviness. Invite the Holy Spirit to govern your thoughts today, and watch as He brings a wave of peace over your heart and mind. [36:40]
Romans 8:6 (ESV)
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Reflection: What is one anxious or negative thought you can surrender to the Holy Spirit today, asking Him to replace it with His peace?
God has a vision for your life that is greater than your current circumstances, no matter how challenging they may be. He has written out plans for you—plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Even when you feel stuck or uncertain, you can trust that God’s heart is to lead you into a preferred future, filled with purpose and hope. Take a moment to surrender your plans and ask God to reveal His vision for your next steps. [45:57]
Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Reflection: Where in your life do you need to trust God’s vision over your own, and what is one step you can take to align with His plans?
Who you do life with matters more than you think. The people in your circle can encourage your growth, pray for you, and challenge you to become all God has called you to be. Circles don’t form automatically—you must choose to step into community, to be known, loved, and challenged. When you have a circle that supports you, you’re able to withstand the tough days and grow in your faith. Don’t wait for community to find you; take a step toward building relationships that will strengthen your walk with Jesus. [51:52]
Romans 15:30 (ESV)
I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf.
Reflection: Who is one person you can reach out to this week to encourage, pray for, or invite into deeper community?
What you allow into your mind and heart—through what you watch, listen to, and dwell on—shapes your steps and your thinking. God calls us to fix our thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. It’s not about legalism, but about protecting the anointing on your life and making room for God’s voice to be the loudest. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you filter your intakes, turning down the volume on anything that doesn’t encourage your growth in Christ, and turning up the things that point you to Him. [01:00:36]
Philippians 4:8 (ESV)
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Reflection: What is one media or habit you can “turn down” this week to make more space for God’s voice in your life?
The gap between your hopes and your reality is often bridged by your daily disciplines. While God can deliver and heal in a moment, it’s your everyday habits—time in God’s Word, prayer, reflection, loving those close to you, and adding value to others—that sustain your freedom and legacy. You may not see the harvest immediately, but faithfulness in these small things will lead to a life that makes a difference. Ask God to help you order your days so that each one counts toward the vision He has for you. [01:07:41]
Psalm 90:12 (ESV)
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Reflection: Which of the five daily disciplines (God’s Word, prayer/worship, reflection, loving others, adding value) do you most need to strengthen, and what is one practical way you can start today?
Today, the focus is on living with vision and intentionality, both as individuals and as a church community. The invitation is to lift up the name of Jesus, not just as a ritual, but as an overflow of gratitude for what He has done in our lives. There is a reminder that God’s eyes are on each of us personally, and that surrendering our hearts to Him is the way to catch His attention and experience His support. In a world filled with chaos, violence, and division, we are called to remember that our battle is not against people, but against spiritual forces, and that Jesus is still Lord, still on the throne, and still the only one who can bring true healing and peace.
As we look ahead to a season of growth and outreach, there is a challenge to make room for others—both literally, by adjusting our schedules for new service times, and relationally, by inviting those who are far from God to experience His love. The importance of community is emphasized: we are not meant to do life alone, but to be known, loved, and challenged within a circle of believers who pray for us and walk with us through every season. Small groups and authentic relationships are not just programs, but essential environments for spiritual growth and transformation.
Attention is also given to the rhythms and disciplines that shape our lives. What we take in—through media, conversations, and daily habits—either draws us closer to God’s vision or distracts us from it. We are encouraged to filter our intakes, to be honest about what is shaping our minds and hearts, and to prioritize time with God above all else. The gap between our hopes and our reality is often bridged by our daily disciplines: time in God’s Word, prayer and worship, reflection on His goodness, expressing love to those closest to us, and intentionally adding value to others.
Ultimately, the vision is not about building a big church or running programs, but about seeing lives transformed, atmospheres changed, and the kingdom of God advanced in our city. We are called to be a church that loves deeply, prays fervently, pursues unity, and welcomes the next generation into passionate faith. As we step into a new season, the invitation is to surrender afresh, to run with God’s vision, and to believe for a harvest of changed lives.
2 Chronicles 16:9 (ESV) — > For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.
2. Romans 8:6 (ESV)
> For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
3. Philippians 4:8 (ESV)
