#DrinkLivingWater
“You can stand beside a river all day and admire it. You can study it, measure its depth, talk about its beauty, but none of those things will satisfy your thirst, and then you're gonna have to bend down and take a drink. Many Christians know about living water. They've heard sermons about it. You're hearing one today, in fact. They can quote scriptures about it. They believe it exists, but somewhere along the journey, they stop drinking. Coming to church, listening to worship songs, hearing someone else's testimony cannot replace personally drinking from the presence of God yourself. Your spouse cannot drink for you. Your parents cannot drink for you. Your pastor cannot drink for you. Every believer must personally come to Jesus, and that's what abiding looks like. It's a continual dependence on the presence of God. It's waking up each and every morning and praying, Lord, I need you today.”

#GraceOverShame
“Jesus knows her heartbreaks, he knows her regrets, he knows her failures, he knows every area of her life, but he still offers her living water. Let's say it again, living water. And that should bring hope to many people in the room today. We might believe God could never forgive us or use us because of past mistakes, but Jesus' amazing grace is greater than our shame. It's greater than our pain. It's greater than our shortcomings. It's greater than our past because he bore it all for us. Tell your neighbor, he died for you, boo.”

#StopChasingEmpty
“But yet, we often look for fulfillment in success, in possessions, in recognition, in our relationships, or if we can just get one more accomplishment. We tell ourselves, if I could just get that promotion, if I could just buy that new house, if I could just reach this goal I've been shooting for, or if I could finally be recognized and noticed, then I would be satisfied. And, none of those things are wrong, but they're never meant to satisfy the deepest needs of our heart. The world may make us feel fulfilled for a moment, but that feeling never lasts. It's like drinking a soda when you're really, really thirsty. It tastes good at first, but soon you're thirsty again.”

#LifeWhereSpiritFlows
“As the river flows, everything begins to change. Barren places come alive. Trees grow along the bank. Fruit begins to grow. Leafs become a source of healing, and the waters team up with fish. Wherever the river goes, life follows. And, that's what happens when the Holy Spirit begins to flow through a person's life. Dreams begin to live again. Faith comes alive again. Hope rises again. Joy returns. Marriages begin to experience healing. Families experience restoration. Fear changes to peace, and weakness gives way to strength. Wherever God's river flows, life flows.”

#OnAssignmentForGod
“The Samaritan woman left the water pot behind, but she didn't leave empty. She left filled with new life, new hope, and a testimony that would impact an entire city. In the same way, God doesn't want doesn't only want you to fresh you for your own sake, he wants his life to flow through you. He wants it to touch your family. He wants it to touch your workplace. He wants it to touch your neighborhood, and everyone he places in your sphere of influence. You're on assignment.”

#KnownAndLoved
“And the Samaritan woman reminds us that Jesus already knows our story even before we tell him. And, nothing surprises him, nothing shocks him, nothing causes him to walk away from us. Jesus knows our good, our bad, our ugly, and he still loves us recklessly and completely. He's still pursuing us. He's still leaving the 99 to go after the one. He never gives up on us. He wishes that no one should perish. He loves us with an everlasting love that never ends, and nothing, everybody say nothing, nothing can separate us from the love of God. It's a beautiful thing to be known and be loved. Who here agrees with that today? It's beautiful to be loved by a father who loves us so much.”

#ReturnToTheSource
“And I believe there's people here today who may feel like the Dead Sea. You might feel empty and exhausted. You've prayed before, you've believed before, you've served before, but somewhere along the journey, you became weary. Life has a way of draining us. Ministry can deplete us. That's why it says, don't become weary in well doing. Right? Raising children, carrying responsibilities, facing times of grief, walking through disappointment, it can all wear us down. And sometimes, we get so busy pouring into everyone else that we forget. We also need to return to the source.”

#KnowWhoHeIs
“And he's asking every one of us the same question, do you know just who is speaking to you? The one sitting by the well is not simply a teacher, he is the savior, the messiah, the son of God, the creator, the holy one, the king of kings, the lord of lords. He is our redeemer. He is our mighty god. He is the great I am. He is the good shepherd. He is the living I am. Let's give him praise today because he is Jesus, the savior of the world.”
