God has called every believer to live in and function in the prophetic, not just a select few with a special title or office. The prophetic is not about striving or trying to hear a booming voice from heaven, but about leaning into a lifestyle of God's presence, thinking His thoughts, and declaring His words in everyday life. This is a call to be sensitive to the Spirit, to speak timely words that bring life and encouragement, and to recognize that the prophetic is a normal part of the Christian walk, available to all who are in Christ. [05:08]
Numbers 11:24-29 (NKJV)
So Moses went out and told the people the words of the Lord, and he gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tabernacle. Then the Lord came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again. But two men had remained in the camp: the name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those listed, but who had not gone out to the tabernacle; yet they prophesied in the camp. And a young man ran and told Moses, and said, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.” So Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, one of his choice men, answered and said, “Moses my lord, forbid them!” Then Moses said to him, “Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”
Reflection: Where in your daily life can you intentionally listen for and speak a timely, encouraging word from God to someone today, even if it feels small or ordinary?
There is a spiritual inheritance that comes through covenant relationships—what others receive from God can overflow into your life when you are connected in genuine community. Just as Eldad and Medad received the prophetic anointing even though they were not physically present at the tabernacle, so too can you receive breakthrough, blessing, and impartation through your connection to the body of Christ. This is a reminder that independence limits what you can receive, but covenant and accountability open you up to the fullness of what God is pouring out. [08:24]
Acts 3:24-25 (NKJV)
Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’
Reflection: Who are you in covenant relationship with in your spiritual journey, and how can you intentionally invest in those connections to both give and receive spiritual inheritance?
A distinguishing mark of the Spirit of God resting upon a person is that the word of the Lord is in their mouth. This is not just about miracles or dramatic manifestations, but about being a people who consistently speak what God is saying—words that bring life, hope, and direction. Jesus Himself modeled this by only saying what He heard the Father say, and we are called to do the same, refusing to speak from our own agenda or for our own glory. [21:20]
Isaiah 59:21 (NKJV)
“As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.”
Reflection: What is one area where you are tempted to speak from your own opinion or agenda, and how can you pause to seek God’s word for that situation before you speak?
God confronts our tendency to fear people by reminding us of who He is—the One who comforts, who stretched out the heavens, and who alone is worthy of awe. Fear of man is replaced by the fear of God, and this shift brings freedom and boldness to speak and act according to His purposes. When you are tempted to shrink back or be intimidated by others, remember that God’s comfort and His presence are your security, and He calls you to repent from fearing people and to stand in holy reverence before Him. [27:22]
Isaiah 51:12-16 (NKJV)
“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die, and of the son of a man who will be made like grass? And you forget the Lord your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth; you have feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he has prepared to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor? The captive exile hastens, that he may be loosed, that he should not die in the pit, and that his bread should not fail. But I am the Lord your God, who divided the sea whose waves roared—the Lord of hosts is His name. And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’”
Reflection: Is there a person or group whose opinion or reaction you fear? What would it look like to turn from that fear and instead stand in awe of God’s greatness today?
God has put His words in your mouth so that you can partner with Him to “plant the heavens” and establish His reality on earth. When you speak words of encouragement, truth, and blessing, you are sowing seeds of God’s kingdom into the lives of others, and He backs up those words with His favor and grace. This is not about striving or religious effort, but about abiding in His presence and letting life-giving words flow naturally from your relationship with Him. Your words have the power to shift atmospheres, call out destiny, and release God’s purposes wherever you go. [33:38]
Ephesians 4:29 (ESV)
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Reflection: Who is one person you can intentionally encourage or speak life over today, trusting that God will use your words to plant something of heaven in their life?
Today’s focus is on the prophetic life to which every believer is called—not as a title or office, but as a way of living in deep connection with God’s presence and voice. The prophetic is not reserved for a select few; it is the inheritance of all who are in Christ. This is not about striving to hear God or seeking recognition, but about living in such a way that God’s thoughts become our thoughts, and His words flow naturally from our mouths. The story of the 70 elders and the two men in the camp from Numbers 11 illustrates how spiritual inheritance and breakthrough are shared in covenant relationships. When we are connected to others in pursuit of God, their victories become ours, and we receive what we could never access alone.
The prophetic is not primarily about public declarations or dramatic moments; it is a lifestyle of seeing, thinking, and speaking from God’s perspective. In a world saturated with distorted narratives—whether from political or religious spirits—there is a desperate need for people who can bring clarity, truth, and encouragement. The true prophetic is never agenda-driven or rooted in offense; it is about serving others, calling out their God-given destiny, and refusing to pick up the offenses of those we serve. Our effectiveness in the prophetic is directly tied to our ability to love without offense and to speak for the benefit of others, not ourselves.
Scripture reveals that the evidence of the Spirit’s presence is the word of the Lord in our mouths, passed down through generations. Jesus modeled this perfectly, only saying what He heard the Father say, refusing to speak from Himself or for His own glory. Our identity as sons and daughters of the prophets means we have an inheritance to carry both the Spirit and the word of God, releasing heaven’s reality on earth through our words. God covers and protects what He blesses, and He puts His words in our mouths so that we might “plant the heavens” and establish His foundations on earth.
Fear—especially the fear of man—can only be displaced by the fear of God. When we lose sight of God’s greatness, we become vulnerable to fear and the opinions of others. But God’s comfort and presence are meant to free us from this, so we can boldly speak His words. The prophetic is not about striving or effort, but about surrender and abiding in God’s presence. As we yield, encouragement and life flow naturally, and God backs up our words with His favor. Every believer is invited into this lifestyle, to be a voice of hope, truth, and destiny in a world longing for clarity and encouragement.
Every believer has actually been called called by the Lord to live in and function in the prophetic it is the call of every believer um there is a difference between the prophetic anointing operating in the Pro prophetic and being a prophet a prophet is an office I'm not talking about that at all. [00:04:56]
It's fascinating that you could have the most significant prophetic role in history not know your title but know your function function is more important than how people recognize you he was able to say I am a voice in the wilderness this is who I am. [00:06:17]
It shows what happens when you are Covenant related and connected to other people is you actually receive re what they receive there's an inheritance that is actually not just given to individuals but is actually given to families. [00:08:19]
There are things that you get in Covenant with people that you can't ever access when you're independent and on your own and even though you think it's full it's not full it's not near what it could be there's something about connecting with people in accountability in relationship. [00:09:52]
Moses said to him are you zealous for my sake it's another way of saying it's not about me well they're crowding in on my gift it's not about you is that the Lord is represented well in powerfully anointed people and whether it's your time to stand on the stage or it's somebody else's or it's your moment to lay hands on the person or you're the support person for somebody else it doesn't matter as long as the function gets done as long as the miracle takes place as long as the Breakthrough comes as long as God is exalted. [00:11:47]
The prophetic is a way that we function it's a way that we think it's a way that we see it's the way that we communicate to people it doesn't need to proceed or end with thus sayith the Lord it is speaking a timely word in a given situation and if the word is from him it will bear fruit in their life and they in turn will give God the glory. [00:13:35]
Both the political spirit and religious spirit are vying for your affections and whenever whenever there's influence from either of those two Realms there there is a um the word of the Lord becomes diluted and distorted and the Lord is wanting a clear word a precise word an empowering word to come to the cities and to the nations of the world. [00:14:16]
To be a prophetically Discerning people we have to be able to recognize the difference between the true prophetic anointing and the counterfeit which is suspicious it's agender driven and it moves in the spirit of offense is one of the biggest challenges in life is to not pick up the offenses of the people you love and serve it's really hard it's really hard. [00:18:27]
Your Effectiveness and my Effectiveness is in some way restrained and restricted by how well can we serve people and love them well and bring the word of the Lord for this moment for their benefit not ours not for our agenda not for our identity for their benefit entirely without picking up any offense that they may have. [00:19:47]
The evidence that the spirit of God is resting upon us as a people as a tribe as a family must be you know how much I love the healing the Miracles the Deliverance all those things it must be that from our mouth comes the word of the Lord. [00:21:31]
Once you realize who you are your posture changes it's not arrogant it's not self-centered it's not not even self-confidence it's a confidence in who God has pronounced you to be and God says you are the sons the daughters of the prophets because of that you're in line for an inheritance to carry the spirit of God and the word of the Lord they are one and the same. [00:24:54]
Fear sometimes is the expression of selfishness because it has lost a glimpse of the one who spread out the heavens the one who spread out the heavens he reveals himself in this passage as the one who gives comfort in other words I have to lose sight of him to become fearful. [00:27:56]
Turning from the fear of man to the fear of God is just it's just a short step yeah that's just a short step you turn from one to the other and here's what he says following this is actually where I wanted to go so verse um verse 15 says I am the Lord your God who divided the sea whose waves roared. [00:31:07]
I've put my spirit upon you I've put my words in your mouth I've put my spirit upon you I've covered you with my hand yeah this is this is interesting the Lord protects What He blesses do you remember this passage it says and his favor surrounds me like a shield that's because he protects What he blesses. [00:31:36]
I put my words in your mouth I've covered you with the shadow of my hand because I want through you to plant the heavens and build solid foundations on the earth this is an Old Testament warmup for yes on Earth as it is in heaven he's he's revealing process he's revealing the tool that he uses to release the reality of one world to rest upon the reality of another. [00:32:56]
When you strive is when you miss it it's when you're relaxing who you are abiding in presence abiding in his voice it becomes very natural to speak words that are lifegiving. [00:41:20]
