#EnvironmentsDetermineDestiny
“``Why does that seed that's placed into this pot only grow to this size? When it's designed, its purpose, its opportunity is to grow to that. Because the seed was placed in a man made environment, a pot. And although the bonsai tree looks cute, we're going to discover today that it's actually very, very restrictive. But what this tells us and what we need to be reminded of is our environments determine our destinies.”

#BePlantedInChurch
“And we're gonna discover today that even though you could technically be a Christian and not go to church, Heard that said many a times. Well, Luke, I can be a Christian and I don't have to go to church. That's correct. But what I've discovered, living forty years on this planet, being in more church services than I can count to, is you may not technically need to go to church to be a Christian, but you do need to be planted in a church if you don't want to end up a short term Christian. You don't want to end up a spiritually anemic Christian or you don't want to end up a very vulnerable to the enemy Christian.”

#FromBonsaiToGarden
“And I just want to encourage someone today that if you find yourself a little more bonsai than you would like, as cute as this little tree is, I reckon if the bonsai could speak, it would say, hey. Hey. I might be cute, but I'm sick of being small. Yeah. That's good. Great. Yeah. I think if the bonsai could speak, hey. Hey. I might I might be pleasing to the eye there on your coffee table, but can someone please put me back in the garden so I can grow? Yeah. Right. Yeah. So good. I think if the bonsai could speak, It would say, hey. Do whatever you can to make sure you don't end up like me. Right. And I just want to encourage us all, let's not become bonsais. But let's plant ourselves in his house, the church that he is building, that the gates of hell cannot prevail against, and let's be a people that flourish, that are fresh, and that bear fruit in old age. Amen?”

#PlantedPeopleProsper
“See, I think the challenge for us in the Western world, the challenge for us in the twenty first century Christian reality, the challenge for us in a healthy and thriving and growing church is that many of us that believe in Jesus think we are planted but actually we're potted. If I was to sum up Psalm 92, I would say it is planted people prosper. Yeah. But the truth is, you may be in a great church. You may love the Lord. And those are all great things, but your environment will determine and will shape what you become.”
