Galatians 6:7-8 lays down a kingdom law that cannot be mocked: whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. The flesh produces corruption, but the Spirit produces everlasting life. Two kingdoms stand behind those two different harvests. God created people for abundance, but Adam and Eve’s rebellion handed earthly rule over to a dark, perverted system that still twists the desire for more into greed, grabbing, and fear.
Jesus brought the kingdom of God back and called people to repent, to turn around and change the way they think. The kingdom of God does not tell people to prosper through coveting, holding on, or trying to get everything for themselves. God’s way is sowing and reaping. God’s way is faith. God’s way begins when a person sees that God is the owner and that every good thing, including strength, wisdom, opportunity, and provision, came from Him.
The tithe becomes a faith response to that truth. Malachi 3 calls for the first tenth to be brought into God’s house, not because God needs it, but because the heart needs to settle the question of its source. God says, “Try me,” and promises to open the windows of heaven. God wants His people living in a system blessed by heaven, not controlled by politics, economics, lack, or the troubles of the world. God is the source.
Colossians 1:13 declares that God has delivered believers from the power of darkness and transported them into the kingdom of His dear Son. The new kingdom requires a new mind. A person cannot enter that kingdom by church attendance, paperwork, or religious effort. Jesus says a person must be born again. Romans 10 says that salvation comes when a person confesses Jesus as Lord and believes that God raised Him from the dead.
Lordship changes everything. Jesus becomes more than a helper for personal dreams. Jesus takes control. Sin is forgiven, the Holy Spirit comes within, and a new desire for the things of God begins to grow. The kingdom removes the old limits of a paycheck, a system, or surrounding circumstances. God’s people remain in the world, but they are not aligned with its evil system. The kingdom inside them is meant to spread outward, changing lives and bringing God’s better way into the world.

Key Takeaways
- 1. God is the true source [40:23] God owns what He entrusts, while people serve as stewards rather than independent owners. Strength to work, wisdom to decide, and opportunities to increase all come from His hand. Faith begins where self-credit ends, because thanksgiving recognizes that provision is never merely human achievement. [40:23]
- 2. Sowing defeats the grip of greed [35:55] Greed tries to secure a future by grabbing, holding, and fearing loss. God’s kingdom works through sowing, where faith releases what fear would cling to. The seed placed in God’s hands testifies that His provision is more dependable than whatever remains in human hands. [35:55]
- 3. New kingdom, new way of thinking [34:48] Jesus calls people to repent because the return of God’s kingdom requires a changed mind. Old patterns of thinking were formed under darkness, scarcity, and self-preservation. Kingdom thinking learns to expect God’s care and to live under His authority rather than under the world’s pressures. [34:48]
- 4. New birth establishes kingdom citizenship [42:27] Church involvement cannot substitute for being born again. Jesus becomes Lord when a person surrenders control, believes in His resurrection, and openly confesses Him. The Holy Spirit’s presence and a growing desire for God mark the beginning of life in a different kingdom. [42:27]
- 5. Kingdom people change the world [47:58] God’s people are not called to blend in with the systems of darkness around them. The kingdom within them carries a better way of living, giving, thinking, and acting. God’s blessing is meant to become visible enough that others begin asking how they too can enter that kingdom.
