the Bible says if the spirit is in you the fruit of that love joy peace patience kindness gentle the these things it just starts happening in your life think about who you were before you believed in Jesus and and maybe some of you I know this is harder for those who grew up in the church um you don't have a testimony like some other people they're like ah yeah I used to shoot people I used to I was on drugs I did this I was immoral and then Christ changed me and I walked away from all of that [00:35:03]

the way you see yourself as knowing you're filled with the spirit is the fruit of your life love joy PE because there's many people who grew up in Christian homes who do not have this okay it's not guaranteed this is the fruit of the spirit so understand the guarantee of our inheritance is the holy spirit that's in you and so today you can say Jesus is Lord and you can cry ABA father and if you have an obligation to righteousness and you can't just stay in your sin and you see this fruit in your life not perfectly [00:36:40]

we have an obligation when the spirit enters into you the Bible says he makes you a slave to righteousness so this is how you know the holy spirit is in you let me ask you a question can you remain in sin I'm not saying can you sin I can sin I just can't stay in it I can't just keep on doing something happens inside of me where the guilt the shame they're like gosh this isn't me this isn't who I want to be that's the holy spirit it's the Holy Spirit some of you you used to be able to just go on in your sin and feel nothing [00:31:52]

but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness self-control against such things there is no law and those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires he says the fruit of the spirit see in my backyard there's a lemon tree you ask Francis how do you know I go well it's a bunch of lemons on it every year these lemons come out I'm fairly certain it's a lemon tree [00:34:16]
