#LiveInResponse
“``So, we have to transition our minds from from a matter of fact, if I get up tomorrow and read the Bible, he's gonna love me more. No. No. You should get up and read the Bible because he already has loved you so much, you can't even imagine. That is what it's called living in response to the things that God has done. So maybe this could be the day. What's the date today? The the nineteenth. Maybe this could be the day that we finally get that as believers that we no longer have to live hoping he'll come through for us. But we can start to live in a way that we respond to the truth that he has already come through for us.”

#CrossChangesUs
“But why is that? Why was that on my mind? Because the cross of Jesus is where all this stuff dies. And we get to celebrate that the foot of that cross that Jesus Christ, you have died in our place so that we can have salvation. And because of that, I pray that I can run to you. I pray that I'd set my mind on things above and not on these earthly things. That we would be changed today. Jesus, thank you.”

#NoMoreOldWays
“This is ultimately what he says. He says, we're not allowed to claim that we have surrendered our lives to Jesus and continue to live in the sin patterns of this world. Can't do it. I told last services I've could I've decided not to start listing sin patterns because everybody in the room has an area where the enemy attacks you, and it's easy for us to say, well, I get attacked in this way but it's not as bad as that deal. Guys, this is what this is what Peter says to them. He says, look, if you're going to claim Christ, you don't get to live the old way anymore.”

#ChooseYourFocus
“We gotta prepare our minds but we spend way too much time giving our minds away to other things. You're you're scrolling it, you're watching it on TV, you're just doing this, and we just give our minds other things. Here's my question. Do you understand that you are the one that gets to determine what your mind spends the day focused on? You're it. No. In this world, man, it's no. No. No. You make that call. Every time your mind goes somewhere else, you make the decision. What's my mind gonna focus on today? What am I gonna allow into it? What am I gonna say no to? What am I shutting down because I don't want it to be a part of my mind?”

#CalledToSelfControl
“I hope that you understand by now that when you come to know Christ, you are no longer a slave to the sin patterns in your life. You don't have to do what the world tells you to do. You don't even have to do what your own flesh tells you to do. You are called to do what god calls you to do. And he says, since you know all this, since you've been through this, since god's done all of this in response, would, shouldn't we do the things that he calls us to? He says, be self controlled.”

#BecauseHeAlreadyDid
“And the question that we need to leave here with today is, what would it look like if we did give it all to Jesus because of what he's done and not because of what we hope he will do. I hope that you got that today. I hope that we can live in response to what he's done and then, we got all kinds of guarantees of what he'll do. All kinds of promises, kinds of things. But man, if we could just learn to love him and and run after him as fast as we can because of what he's already done for us.”

#NewLifeNotOldHabits
“Listen, here's what that means to us. When Jesus Christ, when you surrender your life to him, he changes you. Anybody been changed? He will. Alright, sweet. So, he changes you. So, listen to me. Why do we think that we can claim that Jesus has changed us and then we keep living just like we were living before he changed us. That's not change. When He changes us, then our heart runs to something new. When He changes us, then we want a different outcome. When He changes us, then we begin to love things that are different and serve in ways that are different and surrender in things that are different and walk away from junk of the past. And what Peter says to them is you don't get to claim new and live old. If you're going to claim new, if you're going to be new, he has changed you and made you new. Therefore, you're walking something new.”

#MadeHolyLiveHoly
“And understand that. We get that. Your point number five today is be holy But when you say be holy as I am holy and you happen to be god, that means something. And the struggle in that is and we all get into this point. The struggle in that is that we think, okay, well now I have to do everything perfectly. Anybody in the room you could even think maybe you got here today perfectly? Like, just this morning. Like here's the thing. Here's the good news for us. God is not holy because of what he does. God is holy because that's who he is. The character of god is holiness and he says, be holy as I am holy because here's what he does. When you surrender your life to him, he makes you holy. So our job tomorrow is not to get up and try to figure out a way to be holy. Our job is to find a way to get up and live like we know that we are holy.”
