"Your job is to live like Jesus teaches you to live. You're not responsible for how everybody else responds to you. Some people will like it. Some people won't. And that's okay. But as long as you're doing that, God's always going to like it as well. Let's pray." [00:14:36]

"The Bible tells us that when we are living our life like Jesus told us to, we give off a smell to God that's always good. It's always pleasing. But you know what? To the world around us, to the people that like that whole idea of Jesus and God and being Christian and all that, we're a good smell. And to those that aren't and those that don't, it's a smell that they can't stand." [00:12:05]

"Our life is to be this pleasing aroma to God Is what Paul wrote about to the Corinthians The passage goes exactly like this For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ Among those who are being saved and those who are perishing To the one, we are an aroma that brings death And to the other, we are an aroma that brings life." [00:26:40]

"When people look at the church, what they're looking at is us. They look at our life, they look at our behavior, they look at our attitudes and they make their decision based on us and what that aroma is that we're giving off. And so what we need to do is just simply be aware that we can protect that actually pretty easily. Three simple steps. Three simple ideas." [00:29:20]

"If your faith is what you build your life on and if the people in this room are the people that you choose to share that faith and live that faith with, then it only makes sense that when you have the opportunity to be with them, you do. It's a busy world, right? How many of you had a busy week this week?" [00:30:00]

"Spur one another towards love and good deeds. Not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing. But encouraging one another. And all the more as you see the day approaching. Yeah, you can encourage somebody with a nice little text message. You can send them a little, you know, a little GIF, a little GIF. You can send them a meme. You can do things that will make somebody smile and brighten their day a little bit." [00:31:52]

"People hate talking about money in church. I do, too. But you know what? Scripture thinks it's a pretty important thing to talk about. It writes about giving, and it writes about the use of money an awful lot. If you're going to protect the integrity of the church, then you need to be practicing giving. And not giving in the way that you've decided it's going to be done, but giving the way that Scripture teaches us." [00:35:54]

"Paul said this to the Corinthians again. He says, you know what? What's going on, the first day of the week. Set aside a sum of money. Consider what's going to be. Set it aside. When we come, bring it. So that we don't have to take up collections. So that we don't have to worry. Storehouse giving very simply says this. You know what? If every believer were to give 10 % of their income, Scripture teaches there's not a congregation anywhere that would lack for anything." [00:38:27]

"The whole idea of living this godly life is so that people see it. It's so that people see it. And when people look at you and say, what's different about your life? God's the one that gets the glory. When they look at your life and they see your attitude, when they hear your words, and when they see your lifestyle, what's different? You tell them it's Jesus. And God gets glorified." [00:43:15]

"Live such good lives among the pagans that even though they're going to accuse you of doing wrong, they can see your good deeds and they'll glorify God on that day that he visits us. Amen. Live such good lives that even though you're getting fingers pointed at, even though you're getting put down, even though what people say you're doing is wrong, it's going to be such an example to others." [00:45:17]

"Our lights shine more brightly when they're fueled by hope. When our faith gives us hope. When our faith excites us. When our faith brings life and excitement and energy and joy to us. People want to be a part of that. People want to be a part of that. When we talk about our local body and we use those words of hope and we use those words of excitement, it burns brightly." [00:52:57]

"Our light's going to shine more brightly when we focus on those things that we're for, rather than focusing on those things we're against. tablespoon in championship point. Phil. Christ. If. We'll be right back. we would take time and really think about what our life represents, if we would take the time and really consider those things that make a difference in the world, we could change the entire narrative on a lot of things." [00:54:16]
