Day 1: Looking Up – Worship Begins with Seeing Jesus Clearly

True worship starts by fixing our eyes on Jesus, recognizing His supremacy and lordship over every aspect of our lives. When we acknowledge that He has rescued us from darkness and transferred us into His kingdom, our worship flows from a place of gratitude and surrender. Jesus is not a distant or silent idol, but the living Son of God who is present with us, sustaining and leading us daily. As we begin each day, we are invited to remember our identity as beloved children of God, approaching Him not out of ritual or obligation, but from a place of belonging and adoration. Let your worship be rooted in the reality of who Jesus is and what He has done for you, making Him the center of your life and devotion. [07:40]

Reflection: As you start your day, how can you intentionally remind yourself of your identity as a beloved child of God before doing anything else?

Day 2: Christ at the Center – The Supremacy of Jesus in All Things

Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, and the one through whom and for whom all things exist. When we truly grasp His preeminence, our worship shifts from self-centeredness to Christ-centeredness, and every part of our lives becomes an offering to Him. He holds all things together, is the head of the church, and is worthy of all our praise. Our response is to move from being consumers of worship to being contributors—offering our lives as living sacrifices and making Jesus the focus of our adoration, not just in song but in every action and decision. Day 3: Listening to God’s Voice – Jesus as the Final Word

God has spoken to us in many ways, but in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son, Jesus. He is the radiance of God’s glory, the exact imprint of His nature, and the one who upholds all things by His powerful word. True worship involves not just speaking to God, but also listening to Jesus—spending time in the Gospels, heeding His words, and allowing His character to shape our lives. As we look to Jesus, we find the fullness of God revealed and are invited to respond in faith, knowing that He is the author and finisher of our faith, seated at the right hand of God, having accomplished all that is needed for our salvation. Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. Day 4: Learning from the Past – Guarding Against Idolatry and Grumbling

Looking back helps us learn from the mistakes of those who have gone before us, especially the Israelites who, despite God’s provision, turned to idols and grumbled in the wilderness. We are warned not to let idolatry or dissatisfaction creep into our hearts, but to guard ourselves against anything that would draw us away from wholehearted worship. God is faithful and always provides a way out when we are tempted, inviting us to rely on His empowering grace rather than reverting to old patterns. By remembering God’s faithfulness and choosing gratitude over grumbling, we keep our worship pure and our hearts aligned with Him. [24:30]

Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness... No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Day 5: Looking In – Responding with Wholehearted Obedience

Personal worship is not just about what happens in our hearts, but how we respond in practical ways—surrendering daily, fixing our eyes on Jesus, guarding our hearts, and offering our bodies as living sacrifices. True worship leads to action, impacting those around us as we obey God’s promptings, whether it’s a simple act of kindness or a step of faith. When we listen and do what God tells us, our lives become a testimony of His love and presence, bringing hope and transformation to others. Let your worship today move beyond words and songs, becoming a life of obedience that bears fruit for God’s kingdom. [33:15]

Looking back is equally important. We learn from the mistakes of those who have gone before us, especially the Israelites, who often allowed idolatry and grumbling to hinder their worship and keep them from God’s promises. We must guard our hearts against idols and cultivate gratitude, trusting that God always provides a way out of temptation.

Finally, looking in means responding practically to God’s love. Worship is not just something that we do when we're singing here right it's actually our entire life and you and i can engage with god not just on a sunday and i realize that for many of us that we gather together sometimes the only time that you and i might sometimes worship or read the bible or pray or hear god's word speaking or spoken is actually here on a sunday but god has got so much more for us he wants us to engage with him encounter him every single moment of the day. [00:01:04]

Our first act of worship is acknowledging who jesus is and who god is for us and just this week i had the privilege of spending some time with tyron daniel who leads the ncmi team the covenant ministries uh international that's part of the apostolic team that we work with and he he described he said at his office at home he's got two chairs deliberately set up the first chair is what he refers to as his sonship chair and he says in the morning when he gets up to have some time with god before anything else before he prays or even sometimes opens a bible or takes time to worship or think about the day or plan or study god's word the first seat he sits in is his sonship chair where he reminds himself that i am a son of god this is my identity god has chosen me he's called me this is my place of belonging before i've done anything for god before i've asked anything from god before i've moved into my work or my life chair no i'm i'm gonna worship him first from a place of sonship friends this should be the place that our personal worship starts in the morning. You are loved you are accepted and you are worthy of entering not because of what you've done but because of what jesus has done as we fix our eyes on him so worship really flows from the supremacy of christ that is our first point we we say lord my life is yours i submit myself under your lordship and he is worthy of all of our worship. Our worship begins by placing christ in his rightful place he is over your circumstances your life he's over every aspect and we need to look to him so when we truly grasp who jesus is i think our worship would begin to look very different. [00:07:43]

If you and i want to experience that shift you and i can experience it every single moment by just saying in that moment lord as the doctor brings me that diagnosis jesus you're here i'm worshiping you as i'm trying to raise my children jesus youhere so i'm handling my finances and deciding lord which way what should i spend my money on and what should i give and jesus you're here you're supreme in everything. [00:08:39]

When people look at the church we say well it's the body of christ but it reflects should reflect the head and reflect his his nature but there is a challenge friends for us where we have to shift from being consumers to actually being worshipers. [00:10:17]

Last time i checked it's not about what you can get out of worship but what you could put into worship right if our lives are living sacrifices you know romans 12 present your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and pleasing to god this is your reasonable act of worship be all in in your worship it's about what we can bring we're not consumers we're contributors. [00:10:54]

Every prophetic word we receive must be aligned with jesus and his word a true prophet is pointing people to jesus not pointing the people to themselves or to some some ritual or some prayer or some mountain that they're supposed to go up on no we're looking to jesus because it says in hebrews chapter 1 verse 1 to 3 it says long ago at many times and in many ways god spoke to our fathers by the prophets but in these last days he has spoken to us by his son. [00:12:11]

If you want to know god you need to know jesus because jesus is god and he's revealed to us in that way and he upholds the universe by the word of his power after making purification for us after dying on the cross and being resurrected again he sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high on high friends jesus is preeminent he is our author the finisher of our faith and so we need to look to him every aspect of his nature and character helps us to worship him more perfectly. [00:13:26]

He is the radiance of all glory of god shines through he's the signifying one he is the exact representation of god in everything and his word holds true friends he is the sustaining one in other words he holds everything in his hands nothing escapes if god chose to remove us he would do that through christ he is also the saving one no one would be able to be saved but through him as we put our faith in him i want to encourage you to look to jesus. [00:14:43]

Jesus after having died and been resurrected and ascended now is seated our high priest no longer is wanting and needing to make a sacrifice he made one sacrifice once and for all and now he can take his place seated at the right hand of god and you and i are seated with him in that place above whatever we may experience whatever would want to draw us away from him so jesus is everything so our response friends should be that we grow in our devotion to jesus. We've got to have a sense of a prophetic future that god has for us but i'm finding more and more that sometimes the most prophetic thing that you and i can do is not longing for what god might take us i'm trusting god for revival and god to pour out his presence and for more signs and wonders and miracles and for people to come to know god friends when we see the future we then ask god what should we be doing right now in order to walk in that future because there's a preparation there's a process. [00:16:44]

There are things that you and i need to walk in that we have access to but we've got to be asking god what is that show me so that i can walk in them again in ephesians chapter 3 verse 20 says now to him jesus who is able to do far more abundantly than what all that we could ask or think according to the power of that is work within us jesus has given us his spirit he wants to do a lot more in and through your life but it requires of us to worship him more more intentionally. [00:18:05]

Can we grow in our worship life where we are increasingly aware of his presence there's more of his power to retrieve you know we just had easter the the cross was a powerful moment sin and death was won through the cross but then also jesus resurrected the empty tomb shows us that there's power over death we now have eternal life friends but more than that god also promised us and poured out upon us which we'll be celebrating on our summit where we look at the outpouring of the holy spirit the upper room we need to access god's power for forgiveness of sins god's power for eternal life but god's power to live in the presence and the power of the holy spirit there's more of that to retrieve. [00:19:20]

God has got so much more for us but in the church sadly friends we are we build idols and altars to pagan gods and to ourselves and not to the living god friends can we make sure that we get rid of our idols. [00:23:33]

God was providing for them they had the pillar of of of fire by night and a cloud by day leading them all of their needs met their their clothes never wore out generation after generation god was taking care of them and still wasn't good enough oh could we just go back to the garlic pots of egypt so often we find ourselves like that friends can you and i learn not to grumble even when our circumstances are not the way that we would want them to when we feel like we are being overwhelmed and overlooked friends god gives us a way out. Surrender your life daily every single day lord i'm sitting in my censorship seat you are lord of my life you are my king you are my god my life belongs to you before i do anything before i live anything of my life i'm putting you in my in the right place every single day surrender our lives to him. [00:25:52]

Fix your eyes on jesus not on your circumstances not on the politics not on the economy not on the the health or the wealth or prosperity none of those things first and foremost fix our eyes on jesus keep it focused on him set your mind on things above and that would mean friends that we fill our minds with his word we fill our minds with his presence and an awareness of that. [00:26:16]

Worship is not a monologue. We don't just speak to God, but actually we need to take time to listen to him. Allow him to lead you. Number ten, whatever God then tells you to do, do it. Do whatever he tells you to do. Friends, that's so important. [00:31:34]

Our worship should somehow impact the world around us. There should be, when somebody looks at you in my life, they should say, well, this person clearly is walking with God. There seems to be some fruit in their lives. [00:32:06]

I don't know what god might nudge you in your quiet time or maybe even on a sunday to do friends but our worship should personally impact people outside of our lives and all that god is requiring of us is just simple obedience it may be as simple as just cooking a meal for someone or showing some kindness or encouraging someone.
