#EmptyToBeFilled
“``Listen. We cannot be full of ourselves and at the same time be full of the holy spirit. It's just impossible. You can't be full of yourself and be full of the holy spirit. Instead, what we need to do is we need to humble ourselves. We need to empty ourselves and prioritize others if you wanna stay full in the holy spirit. Empty yourself. K? Humble yourself and prioritize others so that you can remain full in the holy spirit. By the way, humility, k, don't get me wrong, does not mean you are nothing. It does not mean that.”

#GodMadeServant
“So how low can Jesus go? I mean, so far, we've seen God becoming human, a man, a servant, death, not only any death, but death on the cross. He goes to the way bottom, the lowest, okay? Of the humble ladder. If you want to call that. He goes way down to the bottom of the humble ladder. And you know why I can say that? Here's the thing. When Jesus was in heaven, before he became human, right? He's king of kings, lord of lords, sitting on the throne. He didn't hope he didn't have to obey anyone. Think about that. Obedience was not required. He worked with the father and the holy spirit, but only when he became a human, he obeyed. God of the universe who never had to obey anyone, now is obeying. That's humility.”

#NoTaskTooLow
“Looking at that example, can we say can we say nothing is beneath me? Nothing is beneath Can we say that? Can we come to church? Wipe the tables. Pick up trash that you see. Take out the garbage. Clean the not toilet. Clean the bathroom. Maybe you wanna clean the toilet if it's dirty, but is anything beneath us when Jesus lowered himself to wash the feet of his disciples?”

#ServeFromHumility
“a humble person in the Lord, you cannot not serve. I know that was a double negative, but trying to make a point. As a humble servant of the Lord, you cannot not serve. In other words, if you're humble you must serve. You say you're humble you have to serve. If say you're humble person, must serve. If you don't remember anything else in this message, remember that. If you're humble, you must serve.”

#ConsiderOthersFirst
“Selfish ambition or conceit. There's absolutely no room for conceit. What is conceit? Vanity, excessive pride, even narcissism can be conceit. K? Instead, he commands us to take on humility. And he tells us how to take on humility. Two ways. Right? One, he says to consider others better than yourself. Now how do we do that? Well, imagine you're on a long ladder going up and you're very you're on top and you got a whole host of people underneath you. You wanna consider others better than yourselves? Guess what? You need to get down to the bottom of the ladder. And you encourage them, you support them. Hey, you're getting tired? Put your feet on my shoulder. I'll push you up. That's how you consider others more significant than yourselves.”

#NoSelfishAmbition
“The definition of nothing is what? The complete absence of anything. Not anything. In other words, zero count. Zero. Not even decimal. Not even fraction. Zero. What Paul is saying here is that there's absolutely no room for selfish ambition. No room. Now, ambition in itself isn't a bad thing, but selfish ambition is bad. Why? Because it's getting ahead at whatever cost.”

#HeEmptiedHimself
“And comes now the verse seven which is the, I would say, the pinnacle of today's message, the highlight of today's message where he empties himself to become a servant. He empties himself to become a servant. my prayer is is that this not only makes sense for you, but there's a conviction of the holy spirit, to understand what Jesus did that allows us to follow in his footsteps. He was he made himself of no reputation. He made himself of no reputation. This is what Jesus did when he emptied himself to become a servant.”

#FullyGodFullyHuman
“Now you have to don't get me wrong. This isn't less God. When when Jesus emptied himself, it's not saying he became less of God. Because remember, form of god, it can't be changed. He remained who he is in his deity. Not less god, but when he emptied himself, it's almost like he made room to add humanity. That's why we can say he's 100% god, 100% human. It's not 50% god, 50% human. 100% god, 100% human, that's not an easy thing, you know, concept to to grasp, but that's the reality. K. 100% both. And so he became our humble king.”
