#RelationalCalling
“``Now hear me real quick. Your calling is relational, not functional. Yeah. That's good. It's it's primarily relational. And what I mean by that, first Corinthians one nine. God is faithful by whom you were called into what? Into the fellowship of his son, Jesus Christ. The reason why he called your name more than anything else, the primary reason, he called you because he wants to be with you. He wants to be your God. He wants to have a covenant with you. He wants to restore your life. He wants relationship with you. That's the primary reason why you've called. You've been called to belong to Jesus. You've been called to serve.”

#CallingAsGPS
“Calling's an interesting word used in church. I'm called. What what does that even mean? Let me give you a couple things. Calling begins when you stop asking, do I wanna do with my life? And start asking, Lord, what do you wanna do through my life? That's right. Let me give you another way that calling really starts to birth your life. You'll start to really see calling shape your life is when you look at calling like your GPS destination system in your soul. It will give you direction in every decision of why you do everything. I'm called to be light of the world. I'm called to be salt. I'm called to be a servant. So how would that play out today in when I make my decisions? Let let me teach you a handful of things of of of calling. Let me just give you a lot of scripture if I could do some teaching this morning. Why were you called? Why did god call you?”

#PresenceOverPractice
“These are all great studies, but I want to tell them, hey, this study was already done three thousand years ago in the book of Judges. And it was Israelites who were miswanting for generation after generation. And God didn't need to do a survey. He knew the human heart and says, I need to step in and say, you're missing out on the one thing that would change your life. My presence. A relationship with me and a real relationship with each other.”

#ReviveSpiritualVitality
“Now if I could summarize what God is about to do and what he's about to tell Samuel, I'll summarize a part of this chapter because I don't have time to read all of it. He tells Samuel this, I'm about to tear all of this down. Dead religion down. They have religious activity, but no spiritual vitality. They become familiar with me. It's motionless. It's there's there's no heart in it anymore. The the the pastors are dead passers. I'm gonna tear all of this dead stuff down to the ground and reverse something new.”

#CalledByGrace
“Don't get it twisted. My title says pastor, but I'm a fellow patient. I am a fellow train wreck of a person. And god scanned the earth and saw a 16 year old kid and said, today, because nothing you did, by my grace, I called you, Tyler, and I wept before my god, and it changed my life forever. So that's why you're called. It's just because it's for his glory. It's because he's gracious.”

#ServeLikeJesus
“Why am I doing that? Because my hero is a man named Jesus. I love Samuel, but my hero is Jesus. And let me just share this with you. Centuries after Samuel, another servant stepped into human history. He didn't grab a throne or grab a towel. He didn't announce himself. He simply washed the feet of those he cared for. He cared for the sick, proclaimed the good news. He didn't step onto a stage to perform. He placed his life on a cross to be sacrificed for you and I. In a world obsessed with platforms and positions, let's be a people who care for other people.”

#SpeakLordImListening
“So this is one this is Eli's one shining moment in all of this. Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy, so he told Samuel, go and lie down. And if he calls you, say this, speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. Oh, when you start to feel your heart soften, when you start to weep and worship, when you start to realize God is tugging you, I wanna encourage you. This is these are this is the word you say, Lord. You're doing something. Speak for your servant is listening.”

#GodKeepsCalling
“Sam was like, I'm here. Somebody's calling my name. Multiple times. And how sad is it that God's voice was so rare in the church? A pastor couldn't even recognize it. My son, sometimes I just think God's so kind. God goes, you know what? You don't recognize my voice. I'm done. God's willing to call a third time. Some of you have ignored the voice of God. He's gonna keep calling.”
