#JubileeForgiveness
“And then he says proclaiming the good news that year of Jubilee, the day when all debts would be forgiven, Jesus proclaiming this acceptable year of the Lord became the unacceptable one by many of his people. But in doing so, he made it possible that our debts are forgiven. Oh, not your car payment, your debt to sin, the thing that separates us from God. Jesus came so that our sin would be paid. Our indebtedness to him so that we can be free. Free from and released from this captivity and this bondage and from these fears. Jesus came to remind us that we are loved and wanted and that in him we are good enough.”

#AnointedForThePoor
“It's not uncommon when some of the preachers in the New Testament are going back and quoting Old Testament that they will put things together and they'll quote pieces and and kind of piece them together. And so here's Jesus saying, here's why I've come. The spirit of Lord has anointed me to do these things is to to preach the good news to those who find themselves poor in spirit, the pious poor, the humble. It might be physically poor. It might be spiritually poor. Those who actually know that they need something because they don't quite have it all together. He has sent me to release those held in bondage who are captive, maybe by some of the things that they're their own doing,”
