#OnePersonBigImpact
“``But if you knew the rest of the story, this one guy goes back home to Ethiopia. The first church in the Continent Of Africa is the Ethiopian church and it traces its roots to this one guy, and the move of Christianity across Africa traces its roots to Ethiopia, and so when it looked like God didn't know what he was doing, that he takes them out of a place of success for one guy in the desert, God knew I gotta reach one guy in the desert because with that one guy in the desert, I'm gonna reach a continent with the truth of my son, Jesus Christ. You never know that the one person you minister to today is the one that God's gonna use in ways well beyond what you think is even possible.”

#FaithfulRoleModels
“``There is nothing so powerful in the body of Christ for younger believers than to see older believers who still walk faithfully after the Lord. I used to think I was in the younger group. Now, I recognize I'm in the older group. I'm gonna talk as if I was still younger. There's nothing so encouraging when you are struggling in it to look and say, if that saint can still walk faithfully after the Lord with all that they have faced, I can still walk faithfully after the Lord. I can take that next step. I can walk that next day. I can I can meet that next challenge? I can walk in that way because, look, they've walked in that way.”

#UnsungServantsMatter
“``You ever been some place and thought this restroom is filthy. I'm not sure I'm gonna go in here. I've really gotta go, but I'm do you understand how important the person who cleaned that restroom was? often, we judge ourselves or we judge other people, but if God has called you to that job, no job is unimportant. Philip waited on tables, widows got fed, conflict in the church ended, apostles were able to preach, people came to faith in Jesus Christ, and God was glorified because he waited on tables. Your job's important.”

#FollowGodsLead
“``So here is Philip in great ministry success and God says, I want you to leave this and go to the desert road. You know who's on the desert road? You're still allowed to be interactive. Have I have I bored you enough to the who you know who's on the desert road? No one for very long. You try and get out of the desert. You don't stay in the desert. So, he leaves great revival. He leaves great evangelism. He leaves great building of the body of Christ to go to the desert road. So here's lesson number four. When the spirit of God leads or calls, obey. Even if it means moving on from an area of success.”

#AnswerWithGodsWord
“``The guy has a question here. Philip starts with the question he has and gives an answer to the question he has. But, you notice Philip doesn't quote he doesn't quote the Mishnah, the traditions. He doesn't go, well, the Talmud says, the commentaries. He doesn't say, well, John MacArthur said. He doesn't even say, pastor Clay said. He said, let's go to God's word. If people around you have questions, don't ignore their questions. Because just because you wanna present some kind of truth to them, if you ignore their question, they're gonna ignore your truth. Listen to their question, answer their question, answer their question from God's word, but whatever the question is, get them to Jesus.”

#EveryJobMatters
“``Second lesson we can learn from Philip. Philip is involved in waiting on tables. So here's the second lesson. No job is unimportant if God calls you to it. all those words together. No job is unimportant if God calls you to it. Now, are there some unimportant jobs? Yes. Are there some immoral jobs? Yes. God's not calling any of you to be a bank robber. He just isn't. Okay? You don't have to sit in your car going, Lord, is this really what you want me to do? No. He doesn't want you to do it. Okay? If God calls you to it though, no job is unimportant.”

#ObeyTheCall
“``Philip must be thinking, wait, you're having me I mean, I'm the guy. I mean, it's not the apostles. I'm the guy that is seeing the gospel go forward and whole villages come to faith in Christ. And, you want me to leave here to go to the the desert road? Verse 27, he started out on his way, he met an Ethiopian eunuch. One guy leave whole country, whole cities, whole villages for one When the spirit of God calls you to something, even if it doesn't make sense to you, even if it doesn't make sense to family and friends, but you know he's called you to do it, obey.”

#SurrenderToServe
“``But, maybe you'll consider being part of the team. Full of the holy spirit and wisdom. We understand from Proverbs, Proverbs chapter nine verse 10, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To be in awe of him, to recognize that there is somebody on the throne of the universe and it isn't me. Those are the kinds of individuals we need. If you want your life to be used greatly by God, first has to be greatly surrendered to him. The Lord isn't looking for a hammer that refuses to be used. He's not looking for a screwdriver that says, no, that's beneath me. He's not looking for some kind of tool that says, I've got a better plan. He's looking for a tool that says, just put me into your hands and use me in the way that is best to you. Submitted to him, full of the spirit and full of wisdom.”
