47s
“``As we belong to the Lord, we are called to live with open hands. While we recognize that all we have comes from him and it belongs to him and it is to be used for his glory. And we we belong to Christ and therefore everything we have belongs to Christ as well. So the question is not how much of what I have should I give to God. The better question is, since it all belongs to God already, how does he want me to use what he has entrusted to me? That's the proper way to to look at this. Recognizing that we are not owners, but we are stewards.”

“How many people are fatigued? They lack the rest because they're always chasing for that next best thing. You know, they're they're they're chasing because there's this greed in them. And here's what I'm talking about. It's the sixth year. Alright. God blessed them with this double portion. They would look back at it and say, look how much we got in this sixth year. Let's stock up and let's keep farming into this seventh year, you know, and get as much as we can. Greed. Greed has a way of convincing us that we have what we have is never enough, Causing us to sacrifice the very rest and peace that God desires us to take and enjoy.”

“Through the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross, he bought us. He paid our debt and it was for the forgiveness of our sins and we have been redeemed and purchased by God. We are his people and he is our God. There's no complaints there for me. Every Sunday when we gather together as the body of Christ, we celebrate the finished work of the cross and the resurrection of Jesus. We come here, we worship him, we open up his word, we fellowship with one another, and sometimes even after that we go break bread with each other and but in doing so as we come here every Sunday, we are reminded that we belong to him.”

“But for many of us, it can be both. We we all have weaknesses. We all have areas where we struggle to trust god completely. But what do we do with these two things? You know, whether it greed, whether it is greed that says I need more or fear that says I don't have enough. Both lead us to the same place. They rob us of the rest that God desires for us to have.”
