#GospelPerspective
“``So this present world is passing away, Paul says in verse 31. And when we live like it is passing away, not as if the world we're in is going to last forever, holding loosely to that which is temporary, that is when we live out a gospel empowered life. So holistically to the things that are temporary. And when you can choose, choose that which will last forever.”

#EternalPriorities
“When time is given to temporary matters, less time is offered for eternal God focused endeavors. And when more time is given to God focused endeavors, less time will be given then to temporary fading matters, things that will go away, things that will not follow us into heaven. And Paul's saying here, we need to remember this. We have limited time. Make the most of what you have. And people who are single are able to do that in a freer capacity. He's encouraging us to remember this. Sometimes, we spend far too much time nesting at home for our family's sake when we should be serving with our families arm in arm together for Christ's sake.”

#GospelTransformsUs
“When we own the sin that leads to our brokenness by believing in Jesus and repenting of our sin, that's when the power of the gospel, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead begins to daily change us as we pursue God's design for us. It's what turns us into the fathers, the mothers, the wives, the husbands, the children, the sons, the daughters, the employees, the friends, the neighbors that we ought to be. All of this happens when we live our lives in the power and the strength of the gospel, and that's God's design for us.”

#OneLifeForJesus
“Sometimes he's like, what did we do wrong? It was nothing. He was just a constant reminder. He just wanted them to know every single day, only one life. You've only got one. You're not promised how long it will be, and it will pass. But only what's done for Jesus will last, and there will come a day that you'll see him because you breathed your last or he returns, and the only thing that will matter is what you did for his glory. So what is it? How are you doing? Are you focused on things that are just gonna go away? They're gonna end. Are you so consumed with those things, or are you focused on things that will last for eternity?”
