#MeasureYourWords
“Like with the harsh words, he says, one practical way to fast this Lent is to abstain from words that offend and hurt other people, that hurt our neighbor. He said, let's start by disarming ourselves, putting down our weapons of words, avoiding harsh words, avoiding quick rash judgment, avoiding slander, and speaking ill of people who can't defend themselves because they're not hearing what's said behind their backs. Instead, let's measure our words and cultivate kindness and respect, and then words of hatred and words of killing will give way to words of hope and words of peace.”

#ChooseForgiveness
“And he says, you know, you may not have killed someone with your fist or with a gun, but you can really kill someone with your words. And that's how the Lord is encouraging us to go to the heart of his commandments. We he doesn't want anyone to kill anyone else with weapons or words, physical or moral or spiritual violence. He wants us to turn toward him and give us the grace to forgive, to be patient, to look at our hearts, and ask the Lord to heal them.”
