“Here's a major point about the spirit. The gift of the spirit isn't just for tongues. It's also for groundedness. It's for capacity. It's also for clarity. What is clarity? It's the ability to sit with your grief without being consumed by it. And here's the reality about the miscarriage. The miscarriage, it didn't make me lose trust in Jesus. No. What it actually did is it helped me identify that long ago, I already wasn't trusting in Jesus.”

“Like, this resonating with you? Like, we we we need to accept things for what it is. And not eat them up, but take hold of them. And say, I see it before me. It's real, but it's not gonna identify me. I am found in Christ. I'm not in I'm not found in this pain. Amen. So here's the reality. The Holy Spirit isn't just for public ministry. No. He's actually peace for your private meltdowns. He's for what you do on the outside, and he's also for what you do on the inside. He covers all areas of your life. The Holy Spirit is just that good.”

“And I'm not I'm not trying to glorify the hard times. I'm not trying to say you need to do this, but what I am trying to tell you is it is inevitable. Pain is inevitable. And so one moment, we had a gift, and the next we walked out empty handed. And the struggles of life always seem to always feel like life is too heavy. Right? Like, it's hard to navigate or it's it's it's even harder to just go through these tough times. We equate it to today with long hours of work and just never enough time in the day, never enough money, bills after bills after bills, and attending to our families, and being available to others. Like, it's hard sometimes. But how we respond matters. When the going gets tough, how we respond matters. The things we go through in this life, they're either a grave or a classroom. Right? Like, we either get drowned in the pain, or we invite the holy spirit so that we can address the pain and get curious and see what it is the Lord is trying to teach us through the pain.”
67s
“So here's the question. Why didn't Jesus leave us money instead of peace? Why didn't he leave us wisdom instead of peace? Or knowledge instead of peace? Because Jesus knew it's because power, influence, and authority is not a sign of peace, humility is. You wanna walk in authority? Humble yourself. You wanna see God work in your lives? Humble yourself. The problem with having all these things and no humility is that we tend to know more than what we're capable of doing. So when we don't have peace, we cause problems. When we don't have peace, we look to vices and other things to fill us. When we don't have peace, we sow discord among the church. When we don't have peace, we plant and build things that are not on solid ground. When we don't have peace, we are terrible Christians on the Internet.”
