We all face an internal battle between our carnal nature and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Our flesh often desires things that are not good for us, leading to mistakes and missteps. Yet, we are not left without hope or help in this struggle. God has provided a way to overcome through the power of His Spirit dwelling within us. This is the starting point for a transformed life. [28:22]
For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.
(Romans 7:15-18 ESV)
Reflection: What is one recurring thought or desire from your flesh that you recognize is not from God? How can you consciously choose to rely on the Spirit's power instead of your own strength in that area this week?
Receiving Christ is just the beginning of our journey. It grants us the power to become true sons and daughters of God, but this identity is fully realized as we learn to be led by His Spirit. This is not an automatic status but a progressive transformation. It requires a daily decision to surrender to the Spirit's guidance and direction. Our inheritance in Christ is unlocked through a Spirit-led life. [37:20]
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
(John 1:12-13 ESV)
Reflection: In what specific area of your life do you sense God inviting you to step into the "becoming" – to move from simply being saved to living as His mature son or daughter?
Walking in the Spirit is not a one-time event but a continual, conscious practice. It affects every aspect of our lives, from our thoughts and words to our actions and habits. This journey requires a daily dying to our own desires and intellect. We present ourselves as a living sacrifice, which is our reasonable act of worship. It is the pathway to discovering God's good and perfect will. [44:11]
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
(Romans 12:1-2 ESV)
Reflection: What would it look like for you to practically "present your body as a living sacrifice" during your morning routine tomorrow?
The most significant spiritual battles are often fought and won in the realm of our thoughts. Our adversary constantly launches fiery darts of fear, doubt, and temptation toward our minds. Victory is found by capturing every thought and making it obedient to Christ. This renewing of the mind is essential for pulling down strongholds and walking in freedom. Our weapons for this battle are not worldly but are mighty through God. [45:55]
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.
(2 Corinthians 10:3-5 ESV)
Reflection: Which "lofty opinion" or argument have you recently entertained that goes against the knowledge of God? How can you take that specific thought captive today?
God is calling His people forward into a new season of spiritual advancement and authority. This requires a shift from depending on our own understanding to being fully led by the Spirit. He has already equipped us with everything we need for this move of God. It is a time to break free from tradition and carnality to embrace the fresh flow of His Spirit. The dam is breaking, and a great breakthrough is here. [01:00:48]
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
(Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV)
Reflection: What is one step of faith you can take this week to move with God into this new season, trusting His Spirit to lead you beyond your comfort zone?
Second Corinthians 10:3-5 anchors a call to spiritual warfare that refuses to operate in the flesh. Scripture exhorts believers to wield weapons that God empowers to demolish strongholds, cast down false imaginations, and take every thought captive to Christ’s obedience. The human condition remains fallen and prone to bad decisions, yet repentance, water baptism in Jesus’ name, and infilling with the Holy Ghost reorient life from carnality to spiritual authority. Born of water and spirit, people receive power to become sons and daughters, but true sonship requires being led daily by the Spirit rather than by emotion, intellect, or habit.
Walking by the Spirit demands a disciplined life: presenting the body as a living sacrifice, renewing the mind, and refusing conformity to worldly thinking. Transformation occurs when the Holy Ghost directs choices in grocery aisles, schools, workplaces, and worship, not only on Sundays. The Spirit equips for victory because Jesus conquered temptation and provided the indwelling power needed for holiness and fruit. Gifts of the Spirit should operate within a fruit-bearing church; maturity precedes gifting, and apostolic order releases authority when believers submit to God’s design.
A prophetic word of breakthrough promises that an undercurrent already moving will surge into an open flow as the dam breaks. That breakthrough requires hunger, sacrifice, intercession, and willingness to advance despite limited resources or small-town settings. Spiritual advance happens when people stop leaning on carnality and begin to war in the spirit—praying, interceding, and stepping into roles as intercessors, armor-bearers, and revival workers. The invitation challenges every believer to repent, seek renewal, accept Spirit-led living, and step forward to receive more of God’s presence and power.
It doesn't matter what you've done, where you've been, how bad you've messed up. You can repent and God will forgive you because he loves you. And if you're here today and you've never been baptized in the only saving name of Jesus Christ. Amen. You need to be baptized in the name of Jesus or if you walked away, you can be rebaptized in the name. Why? Because it washes away our sins. Amen. It us to be a new creature and those that are in Christ are new creatures. All things are passed away and behold, all things become new. Amen.

Amen. But today, we understand we've got flesh. This flesh wants things that's not good. This flesh does things. Anybody here ever made a mistake? Well, you can go and take your halos off. We're all equal at the foot of Jesus, and the only reason why some of them are are not in jail or prison today is because we didn't get caught. I didn't say you. I said we. Understand, we are all equal at the foot of Jesus. So let me just set that in the very beginning today. We all struggle with the flesh.
