“``So I don't want us to kinda confuse to say, well, truth doesn't matter. No. It does matter. And we stand on what the bible says. But it's about how then we interact with others, how we disseminate the truth. See, the goal of truth is love. God loved you and me that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. So the goal here as I share the word of God, as you share the word of God, the goal to do it is to do it in love. And love doesn't mean that we sway from what is true. It simply means I don't try to ram it down your throat. It simply means I don't grab my bible, just hit you over the head and be like, come on, man. But it means walk with you, talk with you, spend time with you, do life together.”

“What's the point? What is Paul calling the church to do? So first, he he's he's going to begin by pointing out there is a danger. There is a danger when you absolutely know a 100% that what you're doing theologically is correct, but there's a danger because we can weaponize that truth. We can take this truth and we can say, well, you know what? Biblically, I'm right. I don't care how it affects you. And Paul says, okay. Hold on. You know, we all possess knowledge, but there's some knowledge that puffs you up, but love builds up. And then he gives this this statement that makes you go, what? He says, those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know, but whoever loves God is known by God.”

“And when I talk about laying down your rights, look at how Paul concludes kind of this section, this this portion of the letter in verse 13. So after writing this portion, chapter eight, he uses the therefore. He says, therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again so that I will not cause them to fall. This wasn't a hill to die on. This was something that if Paul said, if I don't have to do it because it causes my brother or sister to fall into sin. And that whole falling into sin is like, I don't know how you can do with that. That's so wrong that you eat the meat that was sacrificed to idols. Don't you know what happens in those temples? And it causes them distress. He says, I just won't eat it. See, that's love for your brother or sister in Christ.”

“Paul is going to write to the church, and he's gonna address those that are spiritually mature. And sometimes those are the hardest people to to really address because you know that what you are standing on is theologically correct. But what Paul's gonna write is take into account the weaker members, those that are newer to the faith. And sometimes even though you're right, he's gonna write you're absolutely wrong. And a lot of it has to do with your approach.”
