“``Where racism is present, reconciliation is needed. It's the most basic level of opposition to racism, is acknowledging it. Owning and confessing our part in that, whatever that may be, and seeking repentance. Now we we've grown here. I feel like we've we've sought to better understand. We've spent a lot of times over the years reading, preaching, listening, learning, and we're far from perfect, but we're praying for softness, and we need to keep pressing it. We have plenty of resources, many out in the lobby that we'd love to share with you if you're still unsure. But nothing can replace a a heart of humility, a heart of hunger, and a willingness to empathize.”

“third characteristic we see in our text today is is diversity. Diversity. As John takes in this, your account seeing this great multitude, innumerable from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages standing together. The kingdom of God will forever be an incredibly diverse one, so much bigger than we can comprehend. The language here is specific, and it displays this multi ethnic kingdom, all nations, tribes, peoples, languages, but it's also general. The idea here is not that it fits out certain differences, but it fits all of them in. Right? To bring us all together. There's no disqualifying marker. The kingdom participation is for all.”

“Paul warns us clearly in Romans eight not to do this. Don't continue in sin that grace may abound. That's how we're called to. This makes a mockery of who Jesus is and who he's called us to be. But there's another way. There's a third way to seek purity by the strength of Jesus and his redemptive power in us. We pursue what's right, trusting in his work. And over time, we grow, we learn, this becomes more natural. We start to sense that balance means a little bit wider for us that we're able to do this, we're gonna fall off. We're gonna get back up. We're gonna keep pressing on, and we'll trust that one day, this beam will have no edge for us. Right? And that's what we see in our passage today.”

“There's gonna be differences. We talk about theological triage a lot here. First tier issues, gospel core issues, fundamental issues that would shake our faith if they were not believed. And second tier issues, issues that may drive us to a different congregation, and that's okay. Then we have these third tier preferential issues. Right? We have to stop making tier three issues, tier one issues. It serves no purpose. need to fight to celebrate our common ground, our disagreements, our differences. They don't have to be the loudest song we sing, and the world is watching.”
