#KnowHisVoice
“``And this really, really matters because when intimacy grows cold, other voices start to grow louder. You see the greatest protection against deception isn't fear. It is intimacy with the Lord. It is closeness with Christ. You're not gonna fall when the counterfeit comes knocking because you know your savior. You recognize his voice from scripture and you carry the spirit of truth who lives and dwells and moves in you. Jesus says in John 10 that his sheep know his voice and they are not gonna follow a stranger. My friends, you're not gonna be fooled by the counterfeit when you know the real thing. So my question to you today is, do you know the real thing?”

#BiblicalJesus
“To fall from the true faith is actually to let go and to abandon the Jesus of scripture and embrace a version of him that never existed in the first place. You see the real Jesus is the Jesus of the bible. He is not the one that we create in our image and he doesn't change with the times. The Jesus of the bible, he is the king of kings and the lord of lords. He is fully god yet fully man. He is loving and he is holy. He is merciful yet he is just. And not only does he welcome sinners but he lovingly calls them to repentance and that is the Jesus of scripture.”

#KnowYourShepherd
“Today, Jesus is locking eyes with you, and he says that I love you and I know you. With an honest heart posture, are you able to look back into your savior's eyes and say the same thing? Do you know your shepherd and do you love your king? If your answer isn't yes, today is the day to open his word, to get on your knees, and learn to hear his voice again. And even if your answer is yes, don't stop there. Go deeper because the more you seek his heart, the more you'll fall in love and I say that from personal experience. You see the holy spirit didn't give us this warning to make us fearful. He gave it because he loves us and he wants us to stand firm. So get to know Jesus and fall in love with him because those who know his voice will not be led astray.”

#TrainForGodliness
“Just as treasures fade, our bodies will one day fade, but the work God does in you and me has eternal value. We don't want to focus so much on training what's temporary that we actually miss and neglect what is infinitely more valuable, training for godliness. And so if godliness is so valuable, then what exactly is it and how is it trained? Well, for context, the word godliness comes from the old English word godlikeness, meaning to have the character and attitude of god. To train and become more like Christ, it requires what is often called dependent effort where as Christians, we rely entirely on Christ for the desire and power to change while intentionally practicing spiritual disciplines that he uses to shape us. He sanctifies us and we exercise spiritual discipline.”

#MakeRoomForGod
“Godliness is not just something that happens on accident, unfortunately. It grows through relationship. So I would want to ask, if someone looked at your week, would they see space where you are allowing God to shape you, or would they see a week where you're trying to become more like God, but you're spending little time with him? Spend time in prayer, spend time in his word, and in solitude. We need to place ourselves where God can shape us rather than running from these spaces. Second, to train in godliness, it requires letting go of what hinders us. No one is going to train effectively if they're holding on to the very thing that keeps them from growing. I know I prayed to God, make me more like you, but then I keep a tight grip on priorities that are not leaving room for him to grow me.”

#UsedByGodNow
“Don't assume your season of usefulness is over whether you're 16 or 60. God still has work for you to do. God equips those he calls and grows you while you serve. You don't have to be fully mature in your faith before God can use you. As you obey him and put your full dependence on him, he will continue to shape and strengthen you for the rest of your life. So my final question I wanna leave you with here today is, what is one thing God has been asking you to do that you've been putting off because you don't feel ready? Who has God been asking you to encourage? What gift have you been neglecting? And what would happen this week if you simply just said, yes, Lord, in everything you do? Thank you.”

#ShareYourGifts
“Don't neglect the gifts God has given you. Ask yourself, what gifts have God given me and can I be obedient in using his gifts? Maybe God has been prompting you to pray with someone instead of just saying you'll pray with them later. Maybe he's asking you to serve at church instead of waiting until you feel qualified. Maybe he's calling you to encourage someone. Maybe it's just inviting someone to church or helping lead a bible study or even simply and boldly asking, can I pray for you? For those who have been following Jesus for many years, maybe god is calling you to hold back on your sorry. Maybe God is calling you to stop holding back from your wisdom and start investing in your in the next generation of believers. Your gift may be encouragement, teaching, hospitality, generosity, or even discipleship. Don't assume your season of usefulness is over whether you're 16 or 60. God still has work for you to do.”

#FaithHasNoAge
“I wanna tell you that your spiritual age does not limit what god can do through you. Come on. God does not wait until you've been a Christian for ten or twenty years. He uses who you are now like he would anyone else. The important thing is that you listen to his call in your life and then you're fully dependent on him. I grew up the church around people who did and didn't depend on Jesus. And I can tell you wholeheartedly that when you put your whole dependence on him, you don't need to be worried or be anxious about anything. I spent a long time not depending on the Lord. And it was hard. I tried doing things on my own and failed time and time again. in conclusion, don't let your spiritual youth define you. Your example speaks louder than you may think.”
