#BuiltIntoChrist
“They use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to help raise up people who are like Jesus, to equip his people, it says. These leaders are to equip his people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up. We're gonna be built up. Built up into what? We're built up to live into the likeness of Jesus, our king. Until we reach unity in the faith, Paul says, and in the knowledge of the son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the likeness of Christ.”

#LeadersForChange
“Maybe we need to change. Maybe we need leaders who will help us to change. Maybe we need an example before us to help us to change. And maybe we need to talk more about the change, realizing that we all want the same thing. We all wanna grow. We all wanna be like Jesus. I hope that's true. I take it for granted that that's true, that we all want to be more like him, and we need people who can help us do that.”

#ChangeStartsWithLeaders
“Leaders are gonna grow right along with us. They're gonna change right along with us. We're gonna see it in them, and it's gonna encourage us. Because watching a leader change helps us to understand that we can change too. Change begins first with leaders. It happens by standing for the truth as revealed in Christ. We're told that this is this is what happens when we seek the unity of the spirit is we are we are all moving toward an a sense of agreement and unity about what is the truth.”

#SpiritLedDiscernment
“We instead are the in the business of recognizing those whom Christ has chosen to give us. We need to recognize it, and that requires what's that big d word we've been talking about for months and months and months, discernment. It requires discernment. And so pastor Mike spent a lot of time over the last two years working at this idea of teaching us how to be discerning people. How to say to ourselves, not my will, but yours be done, and I'm going to use the tools that the spirit gives me and the and the voice of the holy spirit in me to help me to discern your will, not mine.”
