#LoveIsAChoice
“``It's not talking about how we feel. They're decisions we make. And when we don't even when we don't feel like it, we make those decisions. Irritable is a feeling, but Paul says love is not irritable. He's he's refuting this thing of irritability, but then every time Paul defines love in this passage, he's using a verb. So here's the truth, and I wanna read this to you. Your heavenly father chose you. Hear this, please. Your heavenly father chose you. He loves you. Jesus created a path back to the father so we can each experience a deep knowing of his love. But he also wants you to know love is not something that happens to you. It's something you choose, and it always cost you something. It always requires you to lay down the things that you prefer for the benefit of someone else.”

#ReleaseTheScore
“Any of that is demanding. You're you're silently demanding your own way. In verse five, it says it keeps no record of being wrong. Maybe you have a running mental file, like, in the back of your mind, like, remember what they did, and I'm tracking it. And every time they didn't come through or every time someone didn't come through, you're adding that up, and now other people are being held accountable to that same standard that no one's even aware of, no one even knows exist. So the truth is the Lord is challenging some of you right now. Lay down your score keeping. Keep no record of wrongs. It's keeping you bound up inside, and it's hurting you as much as it's hurting the relationships around you. You were made to love. You were made for a love that speaks truth, not a love that keeps score. It starts with a release, and today is the day that you can release. Today is a safe this is a safe place that you can release that thing that you're trying to you're bound up inside with.”

#ChooseLoyalty
“Even when it's not convenient, you're required to choose. Even when it takes more effort, even when it requires words like Paul is saying here in verse four, be patient, kind, not jealous, not proud, not rude, not irritable, never giving up, always hopeful, enduring everything. Those aren't descriptions of something that's effortless. That's a description that requires us to keep showing up, to keep enduring, to keep leaning in to to the relationships. Your loyalty is a decision that you make in advance before you know what it's gonna cost you. So here's the truth. Walking away cost you more than you'll ever know. When you decide to commit, it creates a space where the Lord can build something special, but you have to decide and you have to commit.”

#RelationshipsTakeWork
“So lie number four, real relationships don't require this much effort. This lie convinces so many people to walk away. When it gets hard, they're just like, I've had enough. We've just grown apart, maybe something that you hear. It's not just the same anymore, or I don't wanna force it. Or or the the big one that I see happen in in church family is, well, we just don't agree. Maybe we have a different set of beliefs. Like, what's our core beliefs? What what are we holding to as as love is the most important thing here? But the truth is every relationship requires us to choose.”
