#ShapedInPrivate
“In private in private, god shapes us. Yeah. There's some things you've been through you can't share with everybody. you know for yourself this morning in private, God has shaped you. And when you praise God, other people may look, but they ain't been through what you've been through. And don't you why? Don't you judge my praise if you don't know how far God has brought me. And yet God shapes us in private. Yeah. In in in private. God. God shapes us. Yeah. In public, god uses us. Yeah. See, you gotta understand this morning that everything behind you has prepared you for what's in front of you. If you ain't got no history with God, you're gonna be scared of everything.”

#CutOffWhatHinders
“He cut his neck off. Listen to me carefully because this is more biblical application. When he killed him, it was a sign that I'm cutting off anything that can sabotage me. Amen. Can't can't can't just shout over sermons. You gotta get the application. David was saying, I'm cutting off any contact from anything or anybody that's gonna hinder me from walking victorious. You can't dance with the devil, but then want victory in God. There's some stuff gotta be cut off so that you can walk in victory as God has called you to walk.”

#ObedienceOpensDoors
“Here it is. It it's it's it's it's it's his obedience, but notice his opportunity verses twenty and twenty three. And when he gets out there, watch this, then as he talked with them, Goliath, there was the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name coming up from the armies of the Philistines and he spoke according to the same words. Watch this. So David heard him. Hold on. Notice. Opportunity after obedience. Hold on. Just in being obedient, he walked in the opportunity. David didn't have a resume. David didn't have networking ability. He's just doing what his father told him, going to the place his father told him, and obedience opens up the door to opportunity.”

#SpeakFaith
“Listen to what faith sounds like before god brings it to pass. He's talking deliverance though he can't see it yet. I'm just talking text. He he he brothers and Saul are talking scary. Yeah. Talking in faith. Yeah. Because faith says it before faith sees it. Yeah. You can't keep speaking death and expect life. Yeah. You can't keep talking like a victim and expect victory.”

#UseWhatYouHave
“He's 17. Right now, as the future goes, he's gonna develop his other skills and talents. But at age 17, he uses the one skill he has. Amen. And your children, down the road, they're develop other skills and talents. But right now, you gotta tell them, listen, use what you have and don't feel inferior to nobody. Never think you have to shrink yourself to fit in with small people. Let me say it again. Never think you have to shrink yourself to fit in with small people. We gotta teach our children. Don't be afraid of rejection. Yeah. You ain't gonna fit in every circle. But rejection is protection. may not be them excluding you. It may be God saying you don't need to be with them.”

#ObedienceStartsAtHome
“If we don't let god work in us privately, he won't be able to use us publicly. What god is calling you to do is more than your giftedness. You're need some godliness. And David has given his life to god in private places and now here he stands as an opportunity of a lifetime. Here's the third point. We gotta keep it pushing. Imma let you be. Obedience starts at home. God used past experiences to build present faith. Listen to me carefully. Don't sit down on what god has done for you. Amen. God wants you to be a light for him. He wants you to tell the world that if god did it for me, he can do it for you.”

#WalkInYourCalling
“Then number three, here it is and Imma let you be. Imma teach you three things about this text after the sermon. Here it is. Number three, teach your children. Teach our children. You can only use what god gave you. Now, that's the preacher. Let's do the teaching. says to David, go the lord be with you but he said, hold on, David. Let me give you this stuff to put on. Remember, Saul some would suggest is about 45 years old and David is 17. So, he puts a helmet on him shaped for a 45 year old. He puts it on a 17 year old. I'm about to go somewhere. Pants that's made for a 45 year old, he puts them on a 17 year old. And David starts trying to walk in it. He said, this stuff's slowing me down. can't what God gave other people. You can only use what God gave you.”

#ResponsibilityBeforeReward
“and too many of us are letting our children sit around and do nothing. Hold on. Jesse was training David how the world works. Watch this. Responsibility comes with reward, but you can't get reward without responsibility. So if you as a parent keep buying stuff for your children without giving them any chores, you're training them different than how the world works because in the world, you can't get something for nothing. And if you train them in your home that the world owe them something, the world is gonna bust them right in the face because in this world you can't get something for nothing and anything you get for nothing, you're gonna regret you got it.”
