Day 1: Remembering Whose You Are in the Sky’s Reflection

A child stares at clouds, tracing shapes that whisper belonging. Identity isn’t earned through titles or achievements but received as a gift. Like Simba lifting his eyes to Mufasa’s voice, believers are called to see themselves through their Father’s declaration. Every spiritual blessing—holiness, adoption, redemption—is already secured in Christ. To forget this is to wander as orphans when the throne room awaits. Heaven’s citizenship outshines earthly resumes. [21:39]

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.” (Ephesians 1:3–4, ESV)

Day 2: Living From Blessing, Not For Blessing

Ephesians 1 opens with praise, not striving. Paul blesses the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ because God has already blessed his people “in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” Kingdom nature begins right there. The kingdom is not merely a destination. It is the nature given in Christ, so blessing is not something fought for, but something lived from.

The Lion King image gives the whole thing a plain word: “remember who you are.” God presses that even deeper: remember who and whose. Identity is not built on title, resume, credit, career, C-suite status, church rank, or public recognition. Identity is secured because Christ has blessed, chosen, adopted, accepted, redeemed, and seated his people in him. Before God gives a vision to do, God gives a vision of who a person is. Ephesians stands like the kingdom constitution. Paul writes from a Roman prison to a church in a powerful city, a city of commerce, culture, influence, and “the moneys.” Rome measured blessing by power, wealth, status, citizenship, and military victory. Paul overturns that whole value system and says Caesar cannot issue true blessing. The Father is the source, Christ is the security, heaven is the sphere, and grace is the measure.

Kingdom vision in Christ deals with identity. Kingdom vision through Christ deals with perspective. Christ has been raised and seated, and those seated with him cannot keep seeing life from beneath their circumstances. Faith does not deny reality. Faith trusts God’s finality. People with vision do not act like trouble is fake. They see reality from a higher throne.

Vision for Christ returns everything back to God. Career, family, gifts, influence, and the whole world of activity exist for his glory. Vision is never self-promotion. It is participation in God’s mission. Every gift comes with stewardship, and every gift must give an account.

The blessing has five marks: the source is God the Father, the scope is “he has blessed,” the size is “every spiritual blessing,” the sphere is the heavenly places, and the security is in Christ. Heaven is home, earth is mission, and Christ is life. The church is not an audience. The church is a sent people, a faithful presence in homes, workplaces, communities, inboxes, and every platform. Every place is a mission field, and kingdom people carry kingdom purpose into a kingdom world.
