Day 1: When God’s Kingdom Turns Our World Upside Down
Jesus’ teachings dismantle earthly logic like wrecking balls. His words about forgiveness, marriage, and power don’t just adjust our thinking—they reverse it. What feels natural—retaliation, self-protection, securing our rights—becomes unnatural in light of a Kingdom where the last are first. This inversion isn’t theoretical: it demands surrendering control, redefining success, and embracing discomfort. Like a potter reshaping clay, God’s truth molds us until His upside-down Kingdom feels like home. [33:30]
“Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Matthew 19:4–6, ESV)
Reflection: Where does God’s Kingdom feel most disorienting in your current relationships or decisions? What cherished assumption might He be inviting you to surrender?
