#RisenSavior
“But let's remember where all of this takes us. This ultimately leads us back to the main issue of this text, which is the resurrection. You see, I actually think this confrontation, Jesus uses it to plant a seed for what the gospel is really about. Because these sadducees, they came to Jesus denying the resurrection. And how did Jesus ultimately prove the resurrection, the belief in the resurrection? But after he lived a perfect life and he died a sacrificial death paying the price for our sins, he was buried on the third day he was resurrected. He was seen by the apostles. He was seen by over 500 people, and then the promise of the scripture is is not use the Bible and you'll you'll have your political means achieved. Use the Bible and your life will be happy and healthy. The the the promise is believe in the Jesus the Bible describes as the crucified and resurrected savior.”

#HumbleTheology
“He he here's here's what happens when true theology is laid before you. You are challenged. You are amazed. You are humbled. And you're left with a choice. In this moment, the religious leaders, the Sadducees, they came to Jesus with an agenda. They came to Jesus with their pet theology, and Jesus confronted them. And in the moment of confrontation, they had to make a choice. Will they bend to the word of God and humble themselves? Or will they bend the word of God to what they want God's word to say? Church, listen very carefully. In the last two thousand years, this truth has not changed. I know many of you sitting around out here today. I I know you have strong, theology. Many of you are are wonderful theologians. You love the word. But here's the truth. There is not one person out here right now that has perfect theology.”

#HeartOverFacts
“The Sadducees, they approach the scripture like a textbook looking for the facts instead of approaching the scriptures with their heart laid open saying, come and cut me to the very core. Show me what's wrong with my life. Correct me. Conform me. Transform me according to your word. How many modern day Sadducees are there now Who are able to use the Internet and look up answers and and have gotcha moments in their terms of their theology? I mean, we live in the AI age, right, where where it's easy to have an understanding of any kind of concept or theological truth, you can just get on your phone right now and you can ask it to explain to you any kind of theological tension, and you can sound like you have all the facts, you can you can gather the knowledge rather quickly. It's at the tip of your fingers. theology is not to remain at the tip of your fingers. It's to sink into the very depth of your heart. This is what it means to know the scripture, not the facts, but the transformation behind it. This is true theology.”

#PetTheologyExposed
“You see, our pet theology is the theology we're going to see with what the Sadducees had. They had ideas and beliefs and theologies that they held to, and they were in contradiction to the Word of God. They held these close and they were unwilling to conform their beliefs to what the Scripture actually teaches. And maybe you're here today and you have some unidentified pet theologies. Because what I've noticed about every single one of us, me and you alike, maybe it's our blind spots in our thinking, or maybe it's even hardness of heart in certain areas of our life. All of us are so at trying to conform Jesus to what we want him to be instead of conforming ourselves to what Jesus would call us to. We we become experts at at mildly I I won't even use the word twisting, but mildly adjusting the word of God to fit what we want it to say instead of having a humble and honest approach to scriptures.”
