#NoShortcutsToTheCrown
“Every one of the devil's temptations to Jesus was to take a shortcut. What do you mean take a shortcut? See, the devil knew that Jesus was the son of God, and he knew the destination by which Jesus was going to. It was the cross. But he also knew that Jesus one one day would be king and wear a crown. And so these temptations for the devil to Jesus was to bypass the cross so he can get to the crown quicker. You realize that our temptations is nothing but a big shortcut, it is no different. For us, it's to bypass the cross and go to the crown. That's the shortcut.”

#IdentityOverTemptation
“So temptations are rough, but they're temporary. That means, eventually, they're going to not happen any longer. Resist or flee, that's to the devil. Resist or flee, that's what we do to him. But most importantly today, I want you to know, remember who you are in Christ. There's no need to stay in your temptation longer than you need unless you're not learning what God is trying to teach. There's no shortcuts. There's no shortcuts to being saved, and there's no shortcuts in our discipleship if we're ever gonna have victory over temptation.”

#TemptationBuildsFaith
“And so, he'll bring temptation in your life to do what? To strengthen that up, to remind you that you are a child of the king, that you are loved by God, and that he's gonna use it in a wonderful way to build you up and not to tear you down. See, when we fail, it means that there's a point in our life that when we when we fail temptation listen to me, temptation isn't sinning, it's when we sin, it's because of temptation.”

#IdentityUnderAttack
“He's been through it to set an example. He understands what it means to be by by an enemy attacking who you are in Christ Jesus. Even though we're not the son of God, but the Bible says, if you know Jesus, you're a child of God. Right? You're a friend of God. And so, that's what the devil's going to attack in your in your moments of weakness and what he might say is, oh man, if you were really a friend of god, you would have never done that or if you really were a child of god, you never would you wouldn't behave this way and that's that's what are you doing? He's attacking your identity, who you are in Christ Jesus.”
