#SeekGodsApproval
“my experience, many people struggle with the approval of men. That is one of their deepest insecurities. And if that is an insecurity that you have for whatever reason, the next time you do not get man's approval, you will begin to feel anxious. Your insecurities will be exposed. And when that happens, notice it, recognize it, flag it, realize it's revealing something to you that you're leaning on something that cannot support you. The approval of men is a wobbly chair. It cannot support you. And when you feel insecure, realize I need to stop leaning on the approval of men. Instead, I need to get down. I need to rely on the only thing that can support me. The Lord would have you to rely on his approval of you in Christ instead.”

#AuthorityIsResponsibility
“You should not think of a position of authority, whether that be, an office in the church or as a husband or a father or a political office. It's not an office of privilege. We must stop thinking of authority in those terms. In Christian terms, authority comes not with privilege, but with responsibility. Responsibility to lead for the glory of God and the good of those that you are leading. And may those two motivations be our driving motivations.”

#InsecurityLeadsToSin
“And the mere rumor that the true king had been born was sending his emotions teetering. He had that wobbly, insecure experience. And instead of stepping down, which he should have, to a position of authority more stable, one that would honor God, instead of that, he anxiously held on to his power. This led him to grow jealous to plot murder. When we do not listen to our insecurities, but continue to lean on the things that cannot support us, it leads to sinning.”
