#LiveForHisName
“``Living for your name is a terrible investment on your life. So live for a name that's greater than yours. A name that will never die, that will be preached through the ages. Live for the name that one day every knee will bow before. It's the name of Jesus Christ. Because if you are a Christian, you are a child of God, you have been called by this name. This is the name that you carry. This is the name that you bear. And so look at your life. Whose name are you living for? Look at your family, your business, your careers, your hobbies, your estate. Whose name are you seeking to further through these things? Are you only doing legacy building? Or are you furthering the name of God? Are you clothed with his righteousness? Are you born from above? Then live to make his name great. For that's what a righteous man does.”

#RighteousUnderTrial
“How far down does your righteousness go? God will put you through a trial to show you, and that trial will expose the real you to others. So men, what kind of man do you want your children to see? What kind of man do you want your spouse to see? Your coworkers, the person sitting next to you on the pew. One who is so weak that the smallest inconvenience causes you to fly off the handle? One who is so weak that whenever you're offended, you're sent reeling? Or do you wanna be a righteous man? That no matter what comes against you, you are committed to being a man of integrity regardless of the trial because you remain self controlled, committed to doing what is right before God because you are clothed with his righteousness. What kind of man do you want to be?”

#DefendTheBride
“Consider Christ. Did he defend his wife's honor? Though his bride, the church, is often full of spots and wrinkles, is often unfaithful and unclean, Jesus took her sin and her guilt and her shame. Jesus was spat on and mocked and abused and murdered for his bride, for sins he did not commit. That's the way of Christ. He took responsibility for her sins. And this also is a reason why we need to be very careful, my friends, how we speak about the church. You may have church hurt. You may have a background where someone in the church has offended you, and the easiest thing for you to do is to just trash the church you left. If it's a true church, be very careful.”

#GraceThroughChrist
“Now, we all need God's help with this. So he didn't just give us examples like Joseph. He sent us his son. None of us is righteous. None of us in our own strength can rise to this occasion because we have too much Adam in us. And so, sent us his son to take our sin and our guilt and our shame and to give us his righteousness, which is not only sufficient to forgive us, but Jesus' righteousness, is sufficient to enable us and empower us to live righteously before God.”
